Looking at geting a single disk tq from Dunrite. I am also looking at his shift kit. It also offers the remote switch to lock up the converter at will. Anyone run his stuff. My trany died and I need to fix it.

Me too. I have his t/c and valve body kit. Put them in around December time frame and have loved it ever since. 226,000 miles on truck and runs better now than when I bought it!!

Not a 3rd gen but I have the single disc TC and VBkit in with a full rebuild on my 94. Just over 25K on it in 19months without issue works great as a daily driver and have towed a few loads around 7K. Highest ever dynoed was 370/890.

I installed Tony's kit about a month after getting my truck. It requires a full trans disassembly to replace a majority of the internal seals so they will hold up to the higher line pressures. I was one of the first 05s Tony did so we learned together on how to 'fool' the compter controlled aspects of the newer 48re. I am very pleased with the resulting shift chacteristics of the changes. My trans temps are lower and it really puts the power to the ground. BTW, some of the valve body mods are considered irreversable but you could probably use another body if you wanted to go back to stock. I have about 40k on mine and I wouldn't go back to stock.
