I have a question for you all.
See the truck setup in my sig below. In talking to a local shop that does most of the Cummins upgrades around these parts he recomended that I use a Dunrite valvebody and a Mystery Switch to upgrade my 47re. I want a little more confidence in my transmission without spending the big bucks right now. I don't ever plan on using my truck to drag race or sled pull with.
I am a little hesitant with the mystery switch idea. He drove me in a truck like mine with the setup and it seemed to really slam the drivetrain when shifting. He was also showing me what the setup would do when manually shifting the gears with the selector. I don't manually shift my truck now and don't plan on doing it in the future. All I want more of my power to get through the transmission. Will the valvebody upgrade help me without the switch? I am trying to get educated as much as possible before making the wrong decisions in upgrading.
thanks.
