I do have two IFS vehicles, and I also have a live axle Ram 2500.
Most people that buy, and again you can't please everybody, do not buy a 3/4 ton, QC long bed pickup for flex, articulation, RTI or to drive it on the Rubicon. If I where I wouldn't be in a 7000 pound crew cab either.
My point has always been (like yours) sell me the best vehicle for what I use it for. Not bashing the masses (somehow IFS= soccer moms) .
I (and business) own 4 CTDs and I now own a Duramax. I guess my final answer is that If I go out to the driveway I don't get in the Dodge anymore. I get in the Chevy. Stock versus stock their is no comparison.
I just don't subscribe to the pry it from my cold dead fingers mentality.
Hey Nice Job on the Cherokee Lift, I checked out your page.Originally posted by JHansen
Yeah Doug I'm running between 4-4. 5" of lift on mine too. Mine's a Limited-everything but sunroof. They're strong rigs-I love mine to death. Know what you mean about Rusty-I've talked with him a couple times via e-mail and used to see a lot of his posts when I spent time on NAXJA... never bought anything from him though. My lift is "backyard-engineered"-works OK for the amount of money I've got into it. Pics on my site at http://msnhomepages.talkcity.com/YosemiteDr/xjhansen
And just so I don't get completely off the initial topic of this thread I have yet to see a Duramax in my part of the world that's actually working. Know of 1 guy that's operating with his-thinks it's the greatest thing since sliced bread but he bleeds Bow-Tie red-so what's he gonna say?I can't see it living anywhere near as long as mine (and they do the same job) but I guess stranger things happen-maybe a meteor will fall from the sky and smash mine flat

I have been loyal to Dodge all my life and wouldn't consider buying any other make. Having said that, if the Rams were IFS now I wouldn't be driving one-I'd have bought a 1st generation truck and put some money into it... . I feel that strongly about solid-axles for work trucks.
