Did a search and didn't find much specifically toward my question.

My truck is a DD, but I do tow our 10K bumper-pulled travel trailer occasionally, and I get off the beaten path to hunt every year too.

Although I have been happy with the performance of my Terra Grapplers (just under 50k right now which is fantastic), I am really liking what I am seeing with the Dura Grappler as far as wear, and I assume they have a little less rolling resistance than the TGs so they might yield a little better fuel mileage too.

My only concern is loss of grip on ranch or logging roads, or in snow or ice. I am realistic and do not expect the same traction as with the TGs, but if the difference is that drastic, it might not be worth the change. I don't "off-road" per se, just want them to get me where I am going and back.

Thoughts from those with experience?

I like good fuel milage and good tire milage so I tend to buy mild all season with emphasis on highway tread. Highway travel and heavy towing is about 99% of my driving so I gear for that. It's been my experiance that with 4x4, most tires will dig good enough to high center, then nothing works. Maybe carry a set of chains for the rare times you might need more traction.

They work surprisingly well in off-road conditions. And as mentioned earlier, in 4WD you can get where you need to go until you bottom out your truck. Once they get down below 7/32", your muddy trail days are limited...
