Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Durability of Marine Pistons

Hey-



What is the durability of these marine pistons compared to stock pistons in the CTD 12v engine? I know semis are running close to 1000hp everyday and going 1 million miles. What about a high HP CTD (500-600 HP) with marine pistons, whats the durability on those?

marine pistons are awesome... i think they are more durable because they have lower compression and oil holes

The 370 marine pistons have coated skirts and the steel insert is used for the top two ring grooves, not just the one in the 215 hp and most other B pistons. The more open piston bowl helps mixing and combustion, especially with bigger injectors like the popular 370s (gee, no wonder here!).
