Equipment upgrades this week, expect some down time

We've seen a number of other sites try that and it never worked out. The magazine is Dodge only anyways and I believe our membership wants to keep it that way. If you try to be all things to everyone you can become of no use to anyone. Focus is needed.

The name in no direct way says "Dodge cummins turbo diesel" it's just 'turbo diesel register'. And it's just known to be for dodge's only.

Marketing types within your organization would have to figure out if it would be profitable to make 2 more dedicated zines, one just for duramax and one just for powerstroke.

3 different "focused" publications. But tree'd off of this site/management . Naturally, you'll need to higher on more people to do this, but, wouldn't be a bad idea to toss around the conference table?.

This way you we keep our dodge stuff out us dodge types, and you can bring on subscribers that want a focused chubby and ferd magazine in the same professional manor that the dodge crowd has access to.

This suggestion obviously takes things a step further then just an online forum.

Ever think of making some forums for those type of trucks?

I think TDR could really expand its base and membership.....

I'd think the TDR would be better served if we do decide to expand the site to the Jeep CRD and/or the Sprinter. moose00

I guess I brought this up because I see alot of members that own Fords and Duramax trucks and still purchase membership just to use the website.

I think they could be well served by an "other" type of "catch all" forum for their particular brand IE "Ford Diesel Forum" "Duramax Forum"

There doesnt have to be a reflection in the magazine or any type of revolutionary change from the focus of TDR..... just a couple of simple forums.

Just a thought and suggestion... .

Nah, they'd probably use up too much bandwidth with all of their problems and crash the server! :-laf

Wait a minute -- you're from Columbus, the home of Cummins, and want to talk about trucks with those OTHER engines? SOMEBODY GET A ROPE!!! :D

What can I say? I'd rather be known as a smart@$$ than a dumb... ... ... . :p

This is from the TDR website:

The Website's Purpose

The purpose of the Turbo Diesel Register Website is to parallel that of the TDR Magazine: to provide an open forum for the positive exchange of information. And as previously noted, our goal is to give Dodge diesel truck owners more satisfaction in the ownership of their truck

That's ok PS drivers are used to problems and would understand if the server performed on par with their trucks.

general diesel topics more or less covers all the ford/vw/gm/OTR stuff as well as needed.

Other makes

I feel those other trucks have their sites, don't need other input, I've looked at other dodge sites and this site always steers true. Start your own website, if you think it is a great idea.

I think it would be a bad idea.

There are two other rather large sites each dedicated to the GM and Ford owners and there is so much information there I doubt TDR could ever catch up.

Plus if you had GM & PS owners posting here regularly they might venture into Dodge threads commenting on things that could start wars which helps no one.
