1710 ci cummins in a Big Bud

The Truck has to go... need more room

You need to attach a VIN and date of manufacture with those numbers. What was done to generate those numbers, and at what RPM are they?

I vote for ether-tons and tons of it :D . Maybe he snuck over to my petty bickering posts and stole some of my ground-breaking R&D and took it to the dark side!

Believe it.

I was there. I seen it with my own 2 eyes. This feller had one of the new VanAaken boxes and the BD "Dial" with a K&N I think. The owner was complaining about only being able to run the dial on about 30% with the VA on at the same time, or the Allison would throw a coniption fit. Two strange things... . 1. No smoke. There might have been a bit of smoke, but I think it was just blowing soot off of the wall after a real smokey 12 valve pumped out 1000 lbs of torque. 2. I don't know if they all did this, but the DMax would shift backwards about an inch during the dyno run. . The speed governer would keep kicking in at 98 mph, which would effectivly end the dyno run.

The Dyno was one of those "Inertia" types, I don't know what beyond that.

So how long you think it'll live?

More power to them if they can make a go of it----but I just can't see them holding together for very long... .

You're sure they didn't steal any of my ideas eh? :D

Who Now Feels the Need to Step up His Combo!

Very Nice, Very Nice

Now we might have some competition on the highway. :) I'm getting tired of racing Mustangs and other Cummins powered Dodges. :p All that I can say is bring it on GM, it's about time. :D

See Ya In The Rear Veiw

After careful reflection I have decided that this dyno run was indeed a very serious "shot across the bow" for the diesel world in general. I may have to quit my job to devote myself full-time to my revolutionary performance-enhancing technology. Indeed I almost feel it's my civic duty to save the world from being overrun with high-powered aluminum bombs... .

Jeff Garmon is not a BS'er

I believe the numbers, I just can't figure out why he posted them and ran away without any other details.

Oh well... .

I wonder how GM/Duramax’s warranty department(s) are going to treat impending failures.

I know they, GM/Duramax, have a few employees that watch these boards dutifully.

Before you get to concerned, an Allison transmission man said the reason the Duro can't turn out the no's the Cummins does is the transmission . You sort of have to live with what you got. The Allison will not work in the Cummins because of the torque and the shift points I was told the transmission was researched in the Dodge and why it was not installed is probably the power difference. Yes or no, I don't know. Thats what I was told.

Lets see that at the sled pulls, ohh you only can run the pull in 2wd, why... . I like pretzels, just not on my front axles. The dyno is for a few seconds. I do NOT think the DM will last pulling a TT or 5er with those mods.

 Hey, I'm impressed. Glad to see the bombing products coming out already. I hope it holds together. Who knows, if Dodge continues to refuse to build a real crew cab... ... ...

dmaxdan

well, maybe not.
