Competition duramax puts down 1000 hp

and somthing that will hold that power, and put it to the ground

in a few months you will able to order one of these D MAX engines dynoed , and ready to install in a racecar, boat, 70 chevelle , or truck. Just think of the possabilitys, a 57 chevy that runs 10's and gets 25 mpg

A 30,000 dollar BIC lighter :-laf

My fault, I just noticed this was more about pulling. I believe that in a max application 1200 to 1300 is possible, I am amazed at the Duramax

That's assuming you have the heads welded on and a few chains around the motor to keep the block from splitting in two, or three.

Show some proof of this, and a Vin number too. :)

You can look to see these parts avalable to the gereral public soon.

Can I get that on an easy pay program with my QVC or HSN charge card?

Seriously, how much longer before we get to see you and Ron Popeil selling Bank's junk at 4am on channel 24?

It is really funny to see the change in your posts since you've been owned by Uncle Gale, not quite the same "know it all" you were before but still somewhat annoying  Good luck Gregory, the Duramax really runs and Mr. Banks has tons of money to make one go fast and I'm sure you'll do well on the strip but you are still someone else's "beatch", if you weren't you'd be running 15's :D

You should go and get this months issue of diesel power 11. 70’s is not quite 15's 862 hp and 1655 torque with zero correction factor. What would that make in some of the altitudes I’ve seen on the big numbers?

I've been setting records for a long time behind the wheel or behind the scenes. I just give up sparing with people that are internet heroes. I'm where I have always wanted to be. I have accomplished what I set out to do, that was built, and ran the quickest diesel truck, on nothing for a budget, and little help, and it was no longer a challenge. That Truck with funding and Charlie Stewart attention will run 7. 90. I thank thou that a comp car is begging for attention in Charles shop.

I would like to give the people that helped me, well deserved thanks you. Namely John Russin, Brian Block, Jim Fullmer, Brady Williams and Ray Little.

And last but not least Charlie Stewart whose common sense approach to the intricate sport of maximum effort drag racing , has made me a better racer , and prepared me to take this next step in to Professional racing .

I’ve been given the premier diesel ride in the country, owned by the leader in diesel technology. I have never felt easy about others wrenching on my race cars , but with the overwhelming depth of talent at Gale Banks Engineering, I feel comfortable that the very best personnel are now facilitating this new and final phase in my racing Career. It’s incredible to watch these technicians work. From the guy , who makes headers fabrication look like a art form , to the guy that picks me up at the airport and navigates L. A traffic like one of NASCAR’S finest I promise I’ll learn your names

The future holds a lot of very exciting advances for diesel racers , the mainstreaming of diesel performance is coming to pass as we speak The Manufactures, Vendors , established Licensed racers, and sanction body’s working together have made the necessary rule revision a reality.

These new rules will allow diesels to race on a level playing field with gasoline powered vehicles. The new technologies on the horizon will make for some exciting street diesel performances. These new diesel powered vehicles will achieve incredible performances, while getting unheard of fuel economy, along with exhibition civilized manners.

I was just informed that Hot Rod Magazine had a good article about David Kennedy’s and my trip in to the record books with the first diesel powered truck at Drag Week. I would say that next year there will be a dozen or more diesel powered vehicles at Drag Week and not all will be trucks!

You will probably not see as much of me on this forum, I will continue to answer question on PM’s, and I promise to get to everyone’s pm eventually, it just takes time to work thru them . I do enjoy talking to everyone of you that do PM me thou.

And last Thanks To Gale for the invite to the party This is the final step for me

"The 'leader' in diesel technology" ?

If that's true, why don't they sell 'leading' products?

Seems to me that no one's ever won anything, dragging or pulling, with 100% GBE stuff.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

How many motors do you want, they are for sale, the motor in the truck is for sale. However, the cost is consistent what any motor of that caliber should cost.

I have never made a boast that I didn't back up with performance and fact.

WJ came to the starting line to watch me in Atlanta. He watched a few hecklers cackle when the wastegate stuck open causing me to have to relight and restage the car. The added heat in the transmission caused the Transbrake not to totally hold and subsequently caused the car to rolling the tree limiting the pass to a 8. 62, this on a 1. 38 60’ the normal is usually a 1. 18.

WJ caught me on the big eng of the track and we talked, He was aware of my planed move and has been an encouragement over the years in comp. He told me to never worry about those types of people that stand and watch as “we” the drivers run the race always having a comment . He told me “that love you hate you despise you idolize you, it’s all the same, they know you name”

The facts will speak for themselves, I am totally confident that GBE has the talent, the technology, and the tenacity to achieve the goals that have been established .

GBE's goals are to sell more banks parts to put $$ in the bank. You will race that truck two or three times and then be stuck at rodeos and county fairs hawking banks crap and claiming that with more time the truck could have gone in the 6's. Good luck with that.

With all this boasting,if I was in your shoes I would shore hope not to fail. I can tell you this-at over 1200 hp this year Im building a new engine because I was about 300 + short of the top pullers in the mod class, and I would think some of the top cummins drag trucks are above 862 hp.

My thoughts also.

What did you do with your old engine?

What goals have been established?

What category will Banks "lead" this year?

Hogwash... . Tell the story right. WJ saw me ask (okay, holler and giggle at) you if you forgot to turn the Rev-Gain on. I had no idea that that was a WJ term at the time, but the laughs everyone got were priceless :-laf

he did ask about the red headed guy , I told him you were a banker . I took a little time to convince him, his reply was " my kind of Banker, where were you when he started in racing and need a loan " lol
