Competition duramax puts down 1000 hp

How could you be in this business and not know to build boost when staging? As far as the rest of the stuff that's just sad... You know I've paid and done or helped with everything I've done on my truck and for that I hold my head up high, it's "my" truck paid for in full with money I earned in Iraq. I refuse to let some trash talking over paid punk tell me that I'm on a down hill slope and all the good folks in this market that spend mass amounts of time in R/D are not on the cutting edge. I'll take my SMARTY, TST and GDP stuff anyday over Banks!!!!!

Details are a bit hazy, :-laf but yes we met in the staging lanes. I was busy asking Greg if he forgot his rev-gain

Some of you need to look at the guidelines for this forum again. Specifically:

The rules: DO NOT post personal attacks. While the rules are more lenient in this forum, the rules will be STRICTLY ENFORCED. Violations will be deleted when we see them.

DO NOT, and I repeat DO NOT post PERSONAL attacks or assaults.
DO NOT, and I repeat DO NOT post vulgar or sexually explicit material. You say you want a place to talk competitively, then prove it. Keep it on the track and in the garage/shop.

How can one have a banter forum and make a post that is not a personal attack?

Short of my question here, just about every post that doesn't involve beer drinking ability is in violation of that rule.

That's easy. The bantar is truck related bantar. Like "Duramax Sux. " That's non personal attack bantar.

It's difficult to keep it from getting personal so we need to police ourselves. Otherwise it gets real messy.

Your 'Check Liver" circuit may need troubleshooting: it might be illuminating sooner than it should, if the details are 'a bit hazy'. Your memory of the meeting is sharp and clear; I was there... . Either that, or you Southerners just don't drink like us Yankees do. :D :D :)

Zingers, double-entendres, and pointed barbs, when clearly humorous, are generally OK because they are generally friendly banter. A personal attack is not meant to be humorous, is not intended to be easy-going chatter; worse is when banter is indistinguishable from a personal attack.

For example, telling Timbeaux that his Check Liver circuit might be malfunctioning is humorous, whereas telling him that Rebs like him are effetes who just can't hold their liquor would be much closer to a personal attack. I chose the former, even though the latter *is* couched in a tiny bit of Irish Diplomacy.

Some folks posting here may be the east ends of westbound horses, or they may seem to be. But they're still 'ours', and we should avoid being outright nasty to them; patting them on their heads would be a proper response.

This is what makes the difference between a diesel and a BIC lighter. I'm sorry but there simply is no comparison today to this design in a pickup truck.

That engine has the old style rods if anyone noticed.

Fracture split rods have been used for most of the CR production.

I believe the correct terminolgy at least in the auto world is cracked rods. LOL. It is one of the processes that is just neat as all get out and you wonder who thought of it and what made them think of it. All in the name of cost cutting, and it actually doesn't take away from the strength of the rod.
