To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

6.0L PSD. Longest lasting engine!

Is it time to rebuild?

Check this out. This was posted by Joey D over at GM diesel whose signature I get a kick out of. I would link to it but it won't work.

"98 GM 6. 5 with no 53 stamped in it waiting to fail.

I admit I test drove a Cummins Ram in 98 and it felt like it was sluggish and low on power compared to the GM, yes I admit it. "

Here is the Hummer link from Auto Week:

Comparing a Dmax to a stock '98 CTD? Apples to Oranges.

53 block? How 'bout your aluminum heads?

"Duramax: Have you replaced your fuel system lately?"

Snowracer, not to defend him, but to clarify, what I quoted was his signature. He was comparing his '98 6. 5 to a '98 Cummins.

That's what I was meaning to say!

Ah, roger... understood now. My comments still stand about a Dmax though! ;-)

A GM sick. 5... . my nieghbor has one and I had to take it for a spin. While I would take it over any gas motor it would still be my last choice of diesel. For a bone stock motor with a nameplate of 180 HP I would be the first to say that it ran fairly well. My only comparison would be that it was a little faster than a bone stock 1990 Cummins. Obviously it couldn't get out of it own way if I compared it to my truck. :)

OTOH, I would take any gas motor including a Pinto motor over a 6. 2. #ad

I have a '93 6. 5TD.

Cummins 53 waiting to fail !?!! HA

D*mn 6. 5 cost me $8,700. 00 in less than 12mo in engine repairs with 125,000 mi on the clock. Nobody driving a chevy should bad-mouth any Cummins. Glass houses and all that.
