Duramax oil pressure?

We have a duramax at our shop thats in for an oil change and we noticed the oil pressure was rather high. We changed the oil and filter and now its even higher. At a cold idle it is at 80psi which is maxed out on the guage. When it worms up it will come down some. Has anyone else experienced anything like this on the Duramax.

Yes the oil pressure gauge on my wifes is just like that. Warm idle should be at around 40 psi on the gauge, not sure how relative the numbers are. Hers is a 2002. It always hits 80 at cold idle and pegs at rpm especially after putting in fresh oil.

FWIW, both Mack trucks at work, sometimes hit around 90psi at idle during the winter. Usually only if the block heater hadn't been plugged in prior to starting.
