KingS said:I know from what I have read the last vid is with the last motor not the 1000hp but what is up with 2 12. 6or so runs then the last 13. 51 wow that is alittle inconsisent to me I have see dmax drag and never seen one that inconsistent.
Now to the 1000 hp dyno vid what is up there the turbo's barley get whistlen and the vid stops if that is all of it that is not no 1000hp dyno run.
And the reason CR dodge aren't up there is plain and simple programing. You have some one design efi live for the CR's and dodge will take over all over again.

If you knew much about dynoing you'd know that the more hp you make typically the shorter the run. From the time you go full throttle to the time peak hp is made is only a couple of seconds.
As much as I am a Dodge guy I dont know for sure if the Dodge will keep up simply due to cu. in. The Cummins is only 89% of the displacement of the Duramax. Overall durability will most likely always stay with the Cummins especially for long term at high hp but for short term race or pulling motors the Dmax will be a contender. Another bonus for the Dmax is the amount of aftermarket parts or more correctly the rate at which they are being made. There seems to be way more effort being poured into it then the Cummins. Dont get me wrong, I'd still like to see the Cummins be the top dog but you can not overlook the potential benefits of the Dmax.
RossA said:just lots and lots of tuning and trying different things i guess. i know he was one of the first if not the first guy to have a CR motor with that much power. i know hey dynoed last year with 893 with No2 but he should be close if not past 1000hp this year and it should be on #2 only but dont quote me on that. he is also trying some VERY VER innovative things on a TURBO diesel engine. i am a good buddy of his and told him i woudnt say much about his truck but you guys should now him, Richard Brown, or better known as REB. he only lives 5 miles from my house and has helped me with my truck ENDLESS times. i just cant wait to see it on the dyno at the end of march.

mattymac said:Thats because there were more exploding duramaxes at around 700HP so something had to be done for all the people trying to make decent HP with them. At that HP level the majority of cummins motors dont need to go that far into the motor with custom aftermarket made internals.
NGM Diesel said:very true, dyno runs are very short and cubic inches make power. it may take a while but people will get the aftermarket side of things rolling for the CR's soon enough. good job on the d-max guys.
