"Won't Affect MY Warranty"

How well would the Dodge/Cummins hold out.....

My boss has a 04 Duramax that a couple of weeks ago he put the Edge juice box on it. Every know and then when he tries to start it, it just will not turn over. Leave it alone for 10 or 15 minutes and it will start fine. Anybody got any ideas what could cause this.

Thanks

Eric

I'd pull the Juice box and see if the problem still exists. Could be that the box has a malfunction in it. If the box is not the culprit then something is wrong in the engine controls, such as a short or something. I've heard that the new Dmax trucks will throw a code if a box is installed but I don't know for sure. Either way it's going to be a dealer diagnose and fix.

With all of the electrical connections in those things it's hard to tell where to begin to look. Those harnesses are in such a bind by the time you hook them up that something could have come loose. My dad has an '04 with some mods and a Juice/ Att. combo and he had a few different problems, including one similar to yours. Anyways... ... three, yeah, three NEW boxes later he's finally got one that seems to be working OK. My advice first off is to pull the two sets of connectors off of the factory harness and check that all of the pins are straight and secure. Then, take a little bit of dielectric grease and put just a touch on each of the connector pins. If this doesn't work give Edge a call and I'm sure they will do what it takes to get it right. Good luck.
