Was on the way from Kerrville back to Austin today and stopped at Camping World in New Braunfels. I parked next to two brand new DM's. One was a crew cab dually and the other was extended cab SRW but both had 2500HD badging on them. Does Chevy have a 3/4 ton dually?

Must have been a mistake in badging at the factory. GM builds a 9200 gvw 2500 and a 11400 or there abouts GVW 3500 DRW. Gm has discountinued the 3500 SRW in the new HD silverado.

I also remember reading that on their "professional" trucks, they rebadged the 1/2 ton a 2500, and the 3/4 a 3500.

I guess they think that if they put 2500 on a half ton pick-up it will sell better and haul more.

Reminds me of a Ford SuperDoody I was looking at as a possible 5ver puller (I know, I'm sorry!) Was rigged out with a trailer towing body - right front fender had an F-450 badge while the left front fender had an F-550 badge. Maybe they weren't sure, or maybe it really just doesn't matter.....

I saw a Chivvy 1500HD crewcab the other day. And why does chevy have to put a Z on everything??

Maybe the "Z" is for getting your "Zeeeeeees" as in sleep.

I guess when you see a Chevy truck it makes you just yawn with the lack of excitement...
