Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Durn P1693

I am still getting that P1693 code in the computer, Replaced the Banks ottomind and the MAP sensor. Seems like the computer only sets the code on decelleration or at low RPM's it never does it at WOT. When the computer sets the code it disables the GO pedal. Ya gotta tap the brake twice or the clutch twice. Has any one else had this problem??? Help!!:--)

1693 is DTC Detected in companion Module. A fault has been generated in the companion engine control module.



1693 DTC Detected in PCM/ECM. A companion dtc was set in both the ECM and PCM.





will keep reading the manual to see if it tells what to look for

Last time the truck was in to the Stealer, They said it was a overboost code in the ECM..... that is why I changed the map sensor and the banks otto mind... .....

That code has only set when I had another code set. I had 1693 when I had the one for the voltage on my oil pressure guage. Dealer told me it was a detection of an error in the ECM/PCM. 1693 should not occur alone. There should always be another code set with it.
