Competition The NHRDA would like to say Thank You

I was commoin to work this morning on the interstate when this powerjoke got on my a** wanting to go, so I obliged him by shooting a puff of smoke at him, when he got beside me I nailed it and pulled him about 3 cars then let off and waited for him then we went again and I didn't let off till about 110 this time and he was way back. Made my day.

I destroyed one the other day too

I was on my way to work the other morning, and a guy in a brand new "FX4" super duty was in front of me. I could see that he had an aftermarket exhaust, and was smoking a little bit when he got on it. I ended up next to him after a few miles, and he looked over at me and smirked, then leaned on the go pedal. I rolled on the throttle too. He started to pull on me a little bit, I could see him smiling. When he was about half a truck ahead, I reached down and turned on the fuel... the box had been off, I was just cruising on the DD2's. Man I left him soooo fast. It almost looked like he got on the brakes. I slowed down for him, and he would not even look over at me. I know he was ******, you could see it on his face.

I am having so much fun since the DTT, DD2's and pump wire. That what the H&*% was that look you get, when you beat somone who is driving a "fast" car, is priceless. How great it's going to be when I get some more air.

Later,

Chris

I can relate to you guys. I did the same thing 2 saturdays ago coming back from nevada. Powersmoke coming up on me THINKING he's gonna pass me. :D Once I nailed the throttle all he had was this look:eek: on his face when I ALLOWED him to catch back up. :D

This has to be a national past time! I love pulling a hill with my box trailer on the back, I just cruise along and wait for the Fords and Chevys. I always have to WAIT for them by the way! It's so cool to hold her steady until the unsuspecting dwebe is about to pass- you can see the look on their face "Ha! Cummins power, right!" and then I lay the pedal down on the carpet and rocket on up the hill, leaving Mr. Victim choking on #2 smoke. God, it IS a great country, isn't it?

I can't wait the for the next time a powerjoke picks on me! :-laf

It'll be even better if I could get those dang injectors installed!!!

Well I finally raced a powerjoke with my new clutch  He stayed with me through 2nd (started in second) tires didn't hook up till 5th but after 2nd I left him very, very fast. He had stacks & was leaving a smoke trail as bad as mine :--) but he didn't have a prayer. ;) :D buy the way he had stickers everywhere & it was an auto, I thought I was going to have trouble beating him or lose??

Damn, why can't I find anyone to race. :{

I have no idea if this applies to you or anyone here, but... here's a few ideas.

My truck doesn't show any signs of being bombed except for the gauges. I don't have any performance stickers, don't even have aftermarket exhaust yet. I think that makes all the bombed fords/other people think they will win, so they're more likely to race. (that is when they pick the fight)

I've found when I instigate a race, if I show to much muscle up front people won't race. Even cars that prob. would win. They have nothing to gain if they win, but a ton to lose if they get beat by a 4x4 diesel. (mostly pride,I guess) The only person that has ever raced me after seeing me "get on it" was a far from stock mustang.

Anyways, I guess I'm saying that:

1. if you look fast, it's harder to get into a race, and

2. if you show off your power while instigating a race, people get afraid. Use only enough that they realize your trying to race. When they take off, smoke them.

I get buck fever, start getting ansy, lose patience, and want to mash on it as soon as I think they wanna play... I know I have a hard time finding people around here to play with, but when I do, I make sure I take their @sses and hand them back to them. I never bite off more than I can chew. If I do, that is why I have the smoke generators, AKA 191's! Gosh, I am going to hate the day I have to get a DRAG COMP box, and can no longer play with my stupid pump. Oh well, that is nowhere close in the future, so why think about it, right?! Till then, may the Low Boost, and Enormous amounts of #2 ride with y'all!

Hey Chris your truck is "sick" fast now:D . Take it from me dont flex your trucks muscles too much, especially close to home. No one wants to play with my CTD anymore, even the real fast cars are afraid of it:( ,you know how rumors get started). It must be those DTT stickers on the truck,I swear they reduced my 60 ft times by almost . 3 a second. I had another Cummins that wanted to play with me on I84,he had a stock HO 6 speed. I left him in the dust ,I never even bothered to turn on the comp box.

I completely understand. I used to try to pick fights while running in the fast lane, and no one budges. My truck is completely shaved of emblems except for the SLT badges on the cab and the 5. 9RT sticker on the tailgate. The windows are on the illegal side of "Gang Banger Tint", and at night all that can be seen is the soft green glow of the "A" pillar gauges. Then there is the obvious sound of the turbo and exhaust.

I find it much more fun to run in the slow lane, and let them come to you!Oo. :-laf
