I had the Dynatrac free-spin with Dynaloc hubs installed on my truck about 10-11 months ago. I have not had to lock them too many times since then, but attempted to lock them last week and they would not do so. The knob would turn to the locked position but was loose and not locked. I did not notice until I began to drive off heard a clicking from the hubs, so I stopped, checked the knob and noticed it was loose. I returned it back to the unlocked position and the clicking went away so I went about my day. I finally had some time to look at them today and put the front end on jack stands. I noticed that when the knob is turned to the locked position, it does not actually lock unless the wheel is turned backwards slightly, the hubs will then lock in (verified by the front axle turning). My question is, has anyone else had a similar issue with the hubs not locking just by turning the knob to the locked position? It's not just one side, it's both. I'm glad to know they will still lock, but I never had to reverse the truck to get them to do so until this past week. I actually remember seeing a Youtube video of a guy with his Ram on jackstands and in gear with the same clicking noise coming from the hubs, but cannot seem to find the video again to see if he found a resolution. Any thoughts or input is appreciated.
