Jeff Garmon will be hosting a shop day and dyno day November 1st at his shop just south of Atlanta.

For those that have never attended, we always have a great time. The shop is open for your use and Jeff is there to assist with questions and procedures. I will have the dyno running for those that wish to make a run.

Food and drinks are on us. The fun is totally up to you. Want to see a 500hp Dmax? He should be there. Last run was in the 450's and he has made some changes and going for the big 5-0-0 all on #2.

If you plan to attend, please let me know so we can have enough food for everyone.

Is this still on--I haven't seen any responses in the forum? It's getting close enough on the calendar now to commit, but now the Central Florida TDR has planned an event that day, too, so I need to choose.

Thanks,

Yup, still a GO.

I'm looking foreward to it, I need to do some maintanence and some folks need an assist on stuff like Gauges, etc... .

Josiah

Mark,

As BigUgly said, it is still on. It really is just an informal gathering with the shop and dyno available for those that wish to use them. We try to do these a couple of times a year and always have a great time.

If you decide to come, we'd be glad to have you. As it stands right now, some are planning to camp out. I think this is being dicussed on SETDR... setdr.org

Thanks, David. PM'd you--I'll be there.

I checked out the SETDR threads (I didn't even realize it existed). I'll motel it Friday night, and I guess see what's happening for Saturday night.

My 5th-wheel isn't ready to go--needs new tires; and new wheels to handle F/G load range pressures; and probably new axles to handle the weight the tires need to... (the Jeep was just too much for it on my last trip).

Rats!

I won't be able to make it after all--I have to work Saturday. This makes two (including last memorial Day) I've wanted to make, and missed. Here's hoping for the next time.

What a day. We had a great turn-out, about 50 or so trucks, 21 spun the dyno rollers and all brands were there.

Big dog of the day was one of Jeff's customers with his "detuned" twin turbo 12v @ 551hp. This after pulling the cut DV's and replacing with stock, and full smoke control. This was 550hp that just hazed at full throttle. Too Cool.

Next up was one of the Duramax trucks @ 515hp. Boysa these things are for real. 515 hp with two modules stacked. That was it except for the full Suncoast transmission.

Hope to see everyone next time.

Jeff Garmon?

I had some work done on my 98 Dodge CTD in '98 by a

Jeff Garmon @ Southern Truck Parts in Atlanta, Ga. Is this the same Mr. Garmon working @ the below address now?

He had tuned my truck up by adjusting the timing, fuel, air. I would like to go back and get him to beef it up some more.

He seemed like a very nice person at the time I spoke to him.

Thanks for any info on this subject. Dallas... :)

Dallas;

Yes, that's the same Wizard. About a year ago Jeff Left Southern Truck Parts and moved a little closer to home and started his own Diesel Shop. Since then, he's been busier that a one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest, and as happy as a Pig in Slop.

Josiah,

Thanks for the comeback. I'm glad he is doing good with his new business. I will be contacting him soon about my truck. Most likely after the New Year holidays. Happy Holidays to you and yours too.

Dallas... :D :D

We arrived @ 8:00 am est.

Got to meet with Mr. Jeff Garmon and spoke with his father Mr. Red Garmon. I met Billy Ram who dynoed at 600. 24 hp and he cooked a great burger.

The hospitality was great and the shop is set up perfect.

I rode up with my friend Aaron who dynoed first at 434 hp and 924 tq.

The event was my first and I will return when they dyno again.

Four years later you post your results. Did I miss something here? If so, hello BigUgly and David. Long time no see.
