"OCTOBER SHOWDOWN 2002"

Northeast Huge Seafood Wrench Challenge

I had a great time as always! It was great to see old faces and to meet new ones!

Special thanks to David Dunbar! I just cant say how great you, your crew and your dyno are!!

Next time I wll have my "stocker" ready!:-laf

The 497 hp run in Tom's truck was on level 4 and 0 fp vs level nine and 452 hp. Looks like we left 75hp on the table. Oh well there's next time.

Rob it was great to see you agian! You have a great truck! KEEP AT IT!!

J. R

I belive 18-19 trucks were on the dyno, or there abouts. The cool air was great, ALOT nicer than at the grand opening when it was 95* and humid as *****.

JR's injectors were incredible! I would like to see them run when Tom gets a pusherpump, but even by themselves (without the box on kill) they rocked!

Didn't Tom run a 474 with your injectors alone?:--)

Hey JR, 'ya kow, I have a pusher pump.....

I had a great time, many familliar faces and/or trucks. Thanks to Tom and Will for the invite, and Thanks to David Dunbar for his trip up from the south with his way cool dyno.

Later, Rob

BTW Justin, 45x=459hp, dang kids :p

BMD Dyno day was a Blast!

I do believe all those involved were happy. I tell ya'll what though, that friggin wind and the cold was not fun! I durn near froze my Dixie off!

After an eleven hour drive and scanning through 350 TDR threads, my mind isn't running in top form. But I do know that I had a ball.

We had a couple of trucks that made runs and then swaped in boxes or played on the pump with the truck still straped up on the dyno, that's great for real-word hp increases. I found out that an EZ swapped onto a stock truck will net 36 hp and 160 ft lbs of torque!

On Saturday night, on the way back from supper with Tom, he blew by Chris and I doing about 70 up his hill and putting out a solid wall of black smoke, with just the new injectors and the VA

All in all, I had a blast.

Oh, and Rob, could you e-mail me that pic of your truck up on the dyno, I want to save that.

Josiah

i had a great time. i was kind of hoping to do the hill run, but I dont think the local law would have liked it. I think they were ticked off enough with the smoke blowing across the road and stopping traffic. I was surprised noone got caught doing the 100+mph flybys.

ALL YA'LL that went to KY--WHO DA MAN? Where's the #'s?!!!

I know -TOM da man, but HP-wise.

I'll be there next time- just don't have a clutch yet.

Yeah Wade I went. Sorry I hadn't gotten on yet. Hell I still didn't get home till today(Sunday). Got back into TN about 9 or a little before that on Sat. ended up over at my girlfriends house and was too tired to drive home. So I'm just now actually getting home today.

Anyhow yeah I was seriously thinking that nobody would touch Tom on the dyno, but he Dyno'd 444HP and 1013TQ on his first run. Then a Patriot Blue & Grey rocker panel'd 2500 did 470HP (sorry name escapes me). Well a little while later this little white 2500 rolls in that could be mistaken for my twin. Looked completely stock inside and out except for some Eagle Alloys (same ones I have) and some BFG MT KM's. He got up on the dyno and SLAMMED OUT 501 PONIES!:--)

Anyhow I didn't know Tom dyno'd with his new super injectors wish I could have been there to see that but once the sun started going down it was too cold for my likings!

Tom if you read this buddy great show! Can't wait to come back to the shop for another round up! Wade man I'll talk to you later.

The Patriot Blue and Grey paneled truck was Aaron Otte (Columbus, Indiana), the white truck was Bill Fahl (Southern, Ohio).

P. S. Rob if you want to learn how to get more horse power, ask Aarons mechanic!!

where's the beef?

Is anybody going to post the full results? I went to the BMD site and it's still promoting the Grand Opening.

I'll be there next time I swear.

We had a blast and I appreciate Tom having us up. There were SO many trucks there sporting stacks, trick wheels and tires, custom interior components, etc.

Congrats to Bill for being the HP top dog and Tom for being the TQ top dog.

We've heard from a few locals that are still    about the HP numbers thrown down... . :D :D As always, it was great to see my friends, many thanks to all of you for the great turnout and the incredible support ! Thanks David & Penny, for all your hard work, and the fun times that always follow you to every event... .

And J. R. , thanks for burning my truck's pistons instead of the burgers, I hate burned hamburgers ! :D

Yup, I'm suffering from the embarrassment of a stock fuel system, as too many people on here and the DTR have pointed out... :D I've tried two variations, neither was "good enough", then gave up temporarily to concentrate on the flood of customers that came our way in recent months... Well, today, I bought parts, and ordered a few things, so a third attempt at bigger fuel is under way.
