Gettogether in Austin?

N.E. Dyno day pics

I will be there. I was waiting to make sure I could make it. Do you run your own truck on the rollers or does someone else? Just asking as I have never been to one. I would like to see what my truck will do, even if it's low.

You do the driving, we do the watching. You'll have a ball and it's nice to see what different trucks can do, even if they're stock. ;)

As HEYBOSS said, you do the driving, or, if you don't want to, you can ask a fellow member to do your run for you. Either way, you will have a blast.

what gear?

Batman,

Okay, so I'll find out when I get there, but what gear do us man-tran types dyno in. 1::1 ??

Do you go up the gears to get there?

:-D

Matt

Has anyone who will be going made up a system for checking for boost leaks? I know there was a thread on putting something together with PVC endcaps etc. on doing it. Is it possible if someone has one made up they could bring it?

Thanks

Nate

mwheaton,

Great, another stick driver! I was the only one with a stick last time. They had me run in direct. However, I'm going to try OD to get more load on the truck. I just let the clutch out in each gear until direct and then floored it. The graph of 3 runs looks like I only did 1. Consistent.

How to dyno with a stick

Cool, sounds good to me.

My truck is stock for now. But the guys want to know how many HP the propeller in the tow reciever makes

Matt

I've heard that it's at least 50 additional HP..... 55 if you polish to a respectable shine... .

Paint your lugnuts too, that's 15HP... .

Matt :D

Bombing Time

Is there going to be any time to bomb? Because I have a full set of Banjo bolts and two fuel psi. gages to put in. I was thinking of a Dyno run before bolts and after the install to see if they help any. I can bring tools.

Let me know

Cliff

I'm sure there will be PLENTY of time... . we were there for about 4 or 5 hours last time.....

Just get in contact with Scott at: -- email address removed --

Ask him if you can do one pull kinda near the beginning of the day so that you have time to do your BOMBs and then do two more pulls..... I'm sure we can accomodate this.

Then you better shift those gears pretty quick and get it into OD because that propeller won't start spinning until you hit 80mph. or maybe you want to try plugging in an edge ez on that propeller so you can it to start spinning at low boost:p

Mwheaton

These guys have it all wrong... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... the propeller will only give you the above stated hp increases while the vehicle is moving. It kind of acts like a ram-air setup, turbine, kind of thing-a-ma-joozy:D

Holeshot,

I think the prop delivers more HP than a K&N air filter, but less than a 4"exhaust. Not sure of the exact numbers.

Any ideas where I can get lugnut paint? :D How about a left handed hammer?

Heyboss,

Good observation! I think the 80mph problem is due to damage to the blades, it used to spin up at much lower speeds. I backed into the guard rail with it again, so I'll have to re-invest in the latest and greatest. Maybe I can get it with an EZ kit/package. Might as well get one of those back up sensors while I'm at it.

Batman,

Thing-a-ma-joozy technology is very poorly understood. I often just pass it off as a vortex generator that reduces drag and leave it at that.

Looking forward to the 15th,

Matt

You can buy lugnut paint at the same place you can find the elusive FLUX CAPACITOR... . you might want to try www.bankspower.com ... ... All their claims are just as foolish.

The prop reduces EGT by 500*, and increases mileage to 33MPG CITY!

Yeah, they help for when you plan on running above impulse power all the way up to Warp-9. 6... . it does wonders for keeping the can of beer in the cup-holder... . um, I mean Crab Juice... .

Matt

Homer - "What do you have to drink?"

Vendor - "Mountain Dew and Crab Juice"

Homer - "Eeeeew!... Mountain Dew!!!..... Gimme a Crab Juice... "

Krowkalash anyone?

Okay Matt... ... ... does this talk of warp factors and such mean that you have just BOMBed the ride using Dilithium crystals??????????:D

I guess we'll just have to wait until the 15th of December to find out.....

Matt - my tricorder is busted... I don't even know if the dilithium crystals are working properly...
