Dan how far away are you? The reason why I ask is I don't know how many trucks we are going to have time to do. He will dyno on Sunday if necessary. I would hate for you to drive a long way and not get on the dyno. If you come up I will do my best to get you in. Call me if you have any ?. 775-771-8844

300 miles one way ,comming from San Juan Bautista :)

TJ,

Sorry I couldn't make it. I ended up working longer than I anticipated and then had to cook for company. Hope everyone had a great time, burned up some fuel, made some smoke, and put up some good numbers.

Andy

Thats ok Andy. We had a good time but it was very long and no big #'s. It took the 11 hours to do 10 trucks. I will post the results later.

What's the story on that ???? one truck an hour !!!! and a hour for lunch :-laf what gives TJ ? tell that guy he should be able to do 4 an hour. did the dyno break ?

BBD

I think the biggest problem was trying to vent the smoke from the shop. We all had a good time BSing waiting for the trucks to get to run. I think the other problem was the owner was a little over safety concious. He had logging chains to tie the back of the trucks down with and two straps in the front. I think if anyone came off that dyno they would have pulled the shop floor up with them. TJ see if he can get a bigger shop for the next one with roll up doors on both ends that would speed it up a lot not having to try and vent the smoke. All in all I think everyone had a good time and that is what everyone looks for, I mean besides smoke. It would be good if you could back straight on also. TJ if you have another one I will come to it too.

The owner of the shop was a nice guy and very patient but they just spent way to much time worrying about the smoke... The shop has never dynoed any real smokey trucks so they were not ready with the exhaust system. .

I still had fun but Damn it was aloooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggg day. :-{}

The dyno is inside the shop. The rollers are in the middle of the building. :-laf You have to back in & back up onto the ramps & dyno. :D All good fun.

I tried to get in there all last week to test his exhaust system he made but he was to busy. He said he had dyno'ed diesel's before and he understood about the smoke we blow. I tried and tried to tell him that we needed to test his make shift exhaust before the dyno so we did not have trouble during the event. Low and behold the very first truck blew it apart and he spent almost and hour getting new parts to build something better. Four trucks later it was broken again and it took almost another hour to get parts and fix it again.

The people who came had fun bsing and no one was upset. I only put out 417hp for some reason. I think the tires where slipping on the rollers but who knows. The biggest # was 526hp from a 12v with a single and nos.

I dont know if we will try again next year.

T. J.

I made 421hp uncorrected I still need some tuning,,,, I dont think I will be back there next year...

I did have alot of fun talking to everyone, We had plenty of time to talk and I got bored so I started doing some burnouts...
