Truck Pull in Oregon

Central Fla.

Spoke to Ken at Imler Diesel & he said if we could get 10 or more trucks he would be be prepared to open on a Saturday & would charge $60 for a single run & $25 extra to do a load assimilation or an incline or whatever. He has the Mustang Dyno , good for 1500 HP. On an individual basis he normally charges $100 for a single run so I think $60 is pretty reasonable. If you guys are interested let me know via e-mail or this forum.

We can discuss this further for those attending the Sac raceway meet on Sat.

I'm definitely interested too - but based on prices *I* have seen in similar group dyno days, this one seems rather high! Ones I've seen usually run around $45, and give 3 pulls on the dyno at that price...

Wonder what their NORMAL charge is?

I'll stop in to visit. If anyone tops 650 rwhp then I may need to put my truck on the rollers:) Sounds like fun to me.

remind him of $$$ he will make

when there is lots of trucks 10 or more

50. 00 is norm , ill pay the 60 but

remind him he will be making 50 every 10 minutes

anyway count me in

Definition of " A Run"

Talked with Ken Imler of Ken Imler Diesel Performance today Re: a dyno day. Ken told me that a run consisted of three (3) pulls. You can average the three pulls, throw out the two lowest, (we all know that TDR members never lie about how much power they have), what ever you want. Anything else will be extra.

Each truck has to be anchored to the dyno, you don't just pull onto the dyno and go. It take a few minutes of time to do this.

Ken is not normally open on Saturdays so he is doing a favor to TDR members by opening, if enough members are interested. I don't think that $60. 00 is out of line.

Thanks for clearing that up about the number of runs. I,ll talk to Ken again this week & get a feel for when a ggod window would

be for him to come in ,as i know most weekends he,s committed to his kids judo competitions. Once Ifind that out i,ll post that & see if we can all pick a Sat that will work for everyone. I,m sure we can get enough interest.

If at all possible, count me in! a schedule conflict would be the ONLY thing that would keep me away.

3 pulls for $60 is more like what I've seen in other group dyno events - I just thought $65 for a SINGLE pull, and $25 for any additional was too high! Thanks for clearing it up.

If we need more participation, how about posting a "challenge" over in the Ford and GM groups - sure would be neat to get a few PS and DM's added to the mix!;) :D

OK..Just twist my arm

Ian, count me in too i guess... . i'd like to see myself break the 300 mark to the wheels... GO POST THIS ON DIESEL-CENTRAL. COM PLEASE!! there are tons of guys over there that would prolly come to a dyno day event... :D

I'll be there. I'm still stock, so I'd love to have a baseline dyno run for a reference.

Gotta know what's in there now, so I can look back later and laugh!:D

Noticed it is you're first post. Welcome. There is a lot of good information posted, also information that is not always reliable. In other words, read everything that is posted, try to sort out the good from the bad. Ask questions.

As for Dyno Day, waiting for Treeman to set a date.

You are wise to dyno before "Bombing" that way you have a known starting point. Remember gauges first!.

Email me if you have questions, going to be out of town for about a week but I will get back to you.

Headlight-

Thanks for the welcome. I have been poring over as much info as I can in here trying to determine which BOMBs are ABSOLUTELY necessary {ALL OF THEM!}

Thanks again,

Galen
