Yup, a freeze plug at the exhaust end would not be a good idea. Can you imagine how uncomfortable the pressure test would be?

MTY,

Thanks for your support!

Oh byte me! :D

matt man oh man I am seriously glad that it was a freeze plug and not an ... unmentionable. What was the look on the Service guys face when ya pulled out a few plugs and let 'em roll onto the counter?

Thanks Tim!

Let's just say they couldn't kiss my a$$ fast enough :D

Mark, thanks for the use of your WARM shop ... now the Espar is back online, I think things are finally back to normal. Man, how do you guys stay warm while your trucks warm up? Naturally, the glow pin died for the coldest week in years.

MTE: That glow plug lasted quite a while... . you've had that Espar in there for at least 2 years... .

I've considered hooking up an Espar for the VW... . but there's literally no where to put it except for the 'luggage compartment'... and I wasn't real crazy about running heater hoses that far. I didn't want it to look like an ambulance with 18' heater/AC hoses running everywhere... . :-laf I wonder how long it would take to heat up that little cooling system with a Hydronic 5?! 10 minutes? :D

The Espar is a REALLY sweet BOMB... . I'm a huge fan of it.

Saw a few pretty impressive new Ford 6. 0's...

I (my truck but had the wife in the drivers seat) did 404... transmission coming out of lockup and loosing fuel pressure...

Mike Dez has a really nice place now, LOTS of parking!

Yeah... ... . those Ford's 6. 0's ain't chockers no more. One guy there did 365 just with box and nothing else!

Our buddy Wheates did 400 with whatever injectors he put in with comp and stock 35, Sorry Tq.

Had a blast yesterday, met lots of nice peeps. even got an impressive 202hp on my mighty dodge... lol. can i sit up on the big porch wiff you guys? ;) got some good tips too. only wish i was awake enough to remember them... sorry i had to bug out early. had a ***** eatin' grin all day from watchin all the "happy smoke" "when i doubt, smoke em out" Oo.

I was amazed how much these new freeze plugs can add.

I think they're putting the plugs used in the 325/600, gotta get me one of those:D

guns101,

We ain't proud, anyone can hang with us. Watch the Northeast Forum or send me your email for further events.

Man, you guys don't keep anything to yourselves, do you? Scott loaned me the small EDM's to try. Needless to say, I think they are going to be keepers. They seem to be very smoke controllable, no smoke if your easy on it, and more smoke if you feel the need.

There was a Mercedes wagon in a big rush on the way home, drove right up my tailpipe. So I told my go foot, "I feel the NEED FOR SPEED!!" The Mercedes got spit right out, all black and coughing :D

The dealership didn't say anything, but I think those freeze plugs must be worth about 15hp apiece, cause they used two of them!!!

Looking forward to the 40 going on to see if we can put that black smoke to some additional use.

BTW, that little glow pin costs about $75!

We barely broke a grand. Most I saw was about 950, but the peak said things got higher. We'll have to do the hill test on Route 8 soon :p

Hey Fred, what did you think of the DPP exhaust?. Will that solve your problem?
