was in burlington Vt and stumbled on a dynojet--would like to get a group together to get the costs down and get to know a few diesel fans---the prices i was quoted were -$150 for an hour-$100 if you have work done -i was told if i could get 7 or more people together it would be $90 an hour

seemed like a real good @!#$

Quinton Performance

Tim and John(i think)

There shop was REAL clean :D

I know my truck is stock but santa is coming:p :p ;)

Sounds interesting to me, I was just looking for a dyno a few days ago between Montreal and Sherbrooke. Keep me posted on any possible dates!Oo.

Gee guys, if we could persuade you to drive south on a day when we meet, say to RI, we can get you dynoed for about $60 per truck. Three+ runs. Lot's of free truck chat.

Matt

I have nothing against the folks in VT, but Mike Dez (down in RI... ) does a fabulous job getting the trucks on and off the rollers.

I have yet to see a dyno shop get our trucks on and off as fast as Mike and crew... .

Another thing to consider is the soot - even though we raised a few eyebrows in Mike's old location - he never even once complained that we got his shop/floor/parking lot dirty with all the soot. I'd hate to see an unsuspecting shop owner get upset over us sooting his clean shop.....

travel

i would not mind travelin down to a dyno day--guess i would just have to plan a little-i understand about the soot issue its just the owner of the shop was REAL impressed a f!@# he put a box and 5 inch exhaust made 600lbs Torque... would be nice to see a few CTD with real power in there------not talking about mine of course:rolleyes:

Yea, it's fun to watch the dyno operator's jaw drop. . I think Dez was quoted as saying, "What the f*** did you do?"

"Oh nothing... I just turned on this little box... "

It isn't nearly as much fun as it used to be. Dez is acclimatized now :D

agreed! plus, with mike, YOU GET TO DRIVE YOUR OWN TRUCK! i know how my truck runs and when to let off, not someone i just met who doesn't know my or my mods.

Okay! Sorry about the short notice, but we will be dynoing at Mik Dez' on Sunday, 10:00AM!! It would be great to meet up with some of you northern New Englanders if you can make it, MCharlebois?

Anyone is welcome. Mike usually charges about $60 for three+ rolls of the dyno and he's great at keeping things moving.

Scott posted the invite on this thread: Dyno Day Jan 11, 2004

dyno

i would like to have at least somethin over stock befor i head down,am def planin on comin down sometime soon--3 stock runs dont sound too good-maybe i could change the seat position ever time:rolleyes:

Tool man, Moderator iguess you just couldn't get enough----oh and by the way i do go slidein --i can get to the vast from our palace but we dont get no frickin snow down here  be nice to hook up sometime i know trails are much better up north!!!!!!!!

Life was sooooo diff befor kids--wouldnt change it-just sayin;) :--)

Dude,

Come down and meet with us anyway! Lot's of folks dyno stock just to get a baseline. Course you could use their numbers, but it isn't quite the same.

Lots of folks just show up and don't dyno, just to see the smoke and swap lies.

Matt

Dyno it!! Just do it!!

I remember my 'first time'... .

138hp to the wheels... . I was happy beyond belief. I thought that was darn good for a 170,000+ mile engine rated at 160hp at the crank... that was back when my truck had ZERO BOMBs on it!

Ahh, the good 'ole days...
