I wish it was not so complicated to get consistent readings on these things. Type of Dyno, how much they cinch your truck down, traction, air temp, altitude, driver, what gear they run in, operating temp, and on, and on, and on.
Willyslover, I know the numbers are low. When my truck was dynoed it did not register anywhere near what I see on the road. I was hitting 49-50 PSI while pushing my truck hard on the road, but yet the dyno the highest it would go is 44 PSI, so with that being said I thing my truck is probably truely somewhere between 475-500HP, but not postive. All I know is it runs dang well.
This setup yeilded 451 HP on my 2001 Dodge. The dyno used was a Dynojet 248c. Same shop that I always use for tuning..... The shops #'s have always been repeatable for me.
I have an 03 SO auto with injectors from Diesel Performance Unlimited, a KSB-1 from Kenny at TURBO AUTO DIESEL and a quad box. I dynoed it in Vegas during the SEMA show and it was 453 if I remember right. Hooked up a code scanner afterwards and I had a boost code, don't know if it made a difference or not seems like I'm constantly throwing codes and the computer is cutting back fuel.
