Competition 590 HP on Stage 3 Injectors

Ok, Here's the deal. I dyno'd my truck yesterday, but I was robbed of 2600 lbs weight on the computer. it was a group dyno, on a Mustang Dynamometer, and they had all the trucks entered at 5500 lbs, however my truck weighs 8100 lbs. I dyno'd 410/895. 7 and 416. 3/897. 9... My question, is if they had entered a heavier weight, would this add more #'s to the dyno score??? Just a thought. . Someone please chime in.

I dont know if it matters, but it was a 60-100 acceleration dyno on Pull #1, and 60-95 on #2... ... . does that matter??

Your horsepower and torque readings wouldn't change. Your acceleration times will be shown as being faster than what they really are though. Look at it this way if a 5500lb truck has a 500hp motor it will accelerate faster than an 8100lb truck with a 500hp motor. But the weight doesn't figure in on horsepower and torque. The only time weight becomes a factor on horsepower and torque is if you are trying to figure hp and tq based on track times.

Chris,

What was the big HP number there? How did Scott do?

I wanted to make it, but I've been swamped with work and trying to get my truck setup for Muncie (weight brackets, driveshaft loops, etc).

The reason they had to enter the weight so low was because they were trying to simulate a dynojet. Apparently when Scott tested out the dyno, he had tire slippage problems until they lowered the weight.
