You might give ATS in Colorado a call and see if their copilot will address the lockup issues. I am unaware of any way at this time to override the stock programming but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I am still researching what can be done and still retain warranty if any. Probably not so it may be a complete trans unit.

Keith, I tried mutliple ways and it doesn't seem to matter where the run starts, if you roll too hard on the throttle the TC unlocks and/or downshifts. The impression I get from the dyno and driving it is there is a load threshold calculated off of ???? that will cause the unlock and downshift. My 05 has a build date of 5/05 so not sure it its something particular this version of PCM software or what.

If you dyno in OD (4th gear), you can find the RPM to start the run where it will not downshift or come out of lockup. Typically somewhere around 1900rpm or so.

I ran mine in 3rd and lockup to get 274/500 to 268/514 on my 600 (over 10 runs to get two sets of repeatable sets of 3 runs). Had to run it up to 48mph to lock the convertor (in "Tow/Haul" and then let it come down to 1700rpm before doing a hard roll on the throttle. Any lower rpm or more aggressive roll on the pedal produced a downshift and poor results. the runs were on this dyno:

Redline Dyno (Dynojet)

His numbers seem kinda low. Just my $. 02.

I have the almost the same setup as you, I have an 05' quad, 4x4, 285's, 3. 73 and auto running the Edge J/A and I just Dyno'd it and on level 5/5 and set the defueling for the egt at 1350 and the slip for the transmission and that was all and I got 405hp and 849tq. I don't recall if the guy doing the run had the tow haul switch activated or not. I was happy with the numbers, I would also like to run another dyno to compare the numbers. If you look in last quaters issue of DIESEL PERFORMANCE they have an 05, quad, 4x4, auto and they did AFE intake, and exhaust (which did nothing for the truck) and the EDGE J/A and the dyno numbers where 395hp and 738tq (+ or - a few numbers).

I would go thru the settings on your attitude box and make sure it wasn't set to defuel somewhere along the line. Also what is your low boost fueling on?

I also just looked at the EDGE site and they show the dyno results to be that similar to the truck in the Diesel Performance mag test.

wow milehigh. o.

405/849 is incredible. That means you have almost ZERO drivetrain loss (the manufacturer says 325/610 + level 5 adds 100HP/250TQ).

Remember, I have 35" tires also, so with 265's, my numbers would be approx 20HP/40TQ higher.
