Has any one dynoed and tried the plate all the way forward, back a little and in the middle to see where the sweet spot is? Curious as to whether max HP is all the way forward.

I think the sweet spot is with the 0 plate. As it turns out, max rack travel isn't the same as max fuel. I was surprised.

The #11 was 342 or so max forward, -vs- 280 or 285 centered.

i think alot of people with a mechanical injection system would be suprised to know this. that's one of the points stressed in my fuel injection class at college. no matter how how much you press the pedal through the floor, the govoner will always have the final say on how much fuel the engine gets.

i ground my stock plate to match a "0" plate exactly,,, i held a "0" plate next to it and matched it almost perfectly. .

i was pumped about putting it in vs. the #5 all the way forward and when i went for a test drive with the new "0" slid all the way forward,, not only did i not have as much smoke, it didn't seem any faster at all /if there was any change/ it was a little slower!!

so after the test drive i parked it and put the #5 back in.
