OK, so I have a 2004 SO (California) with a straight 4" exhaust and Flow Pro muffler (I think that what it was, its a diesel muffler anyway). I have the aFe with Torque Tube and the EDGE Juice with Attitude. Truck is an Auto.

Dyno'd it in all levels, with Level 5 producing 280/540. This was on our DynoJet 224x and after experimenting with loading the truck with the brakes/dyno brake.

Kind of a letdown--Is that about right? Thanks!

I dyno'ed my stock truck with 8700 miles on November 05, 2007, at 269. 3 HP and 511 Ft Lbs Torque on a Mustang Dyno.

Sounds as though something is WRONG with your connection

Erik,

Something major is wrong with those results bro. That setup should give you around 400hp and high 700s to low 800s in tq,. . seriously!! Speaking of seriously, ... is that thing powered up. ??? Your numbers you posted are stock numbers. Those are right on what everyone is seeing for oem on these trucks. Whoever installed that thing messed up or it's a defective unit.

It must be doing something, but definately not enough:confused:. THe SO was only 250 from the factory, factoring in drivline losses I would expect approx 220-230 stock.

Yeah, thats kinda what I was figuring. It made improvements at every level, but just not what I expected. Maybe I need to get it loaded better on the dyno, it was one of the first trucks we did, and we are getting much better results from trucks now.

The Cali SO is only 235 stock. That should put it at about 190? But it should make more than 280 Juiced up.

Were the filters clean? How much fuel pressure to the CP3?

I didn't realize you had an SO,. . you have NO sig posted. My numbers are right for the HO.

Way back when I dynoed my Calif. S. O. with ONLY the AFE, No Cat, stock turbo and a TST on level 6, I hit 397H. P. but it was not useable power since I hit 1550+ EGT's

I would expect a bit more than you turned with a Juice, maybe you should try the TST ( I love mine )

The CA version is 235 HP stock so about 200 at the wheels would be expected.

When you dyno'ed were you in third or fourth gear?

With a Dynojet you're better off in fourth as it will put more of a load on the engine which allows more fuel and more boost thus more power.

Third gear would be better on the Mustang dyno as it is a load dyno.

OK, another interesting twist... My truck has never really smoked (even with the particulate filter/cat thingy out). Maybe a light haze, but thats about it. This is with smoke turned up and on level 5.
Fast forward to yesterday. Coming home from a race in Monterey, high on my win, I am cruising along and... wait for it... . the truck just shuts off. Get it pulled over, check fuses, try to restart--nothing. Completely remove the EDGE. Still nothing.

I had to tow it home with my business partner's V10 FORD... Not a happy camper.

I am wondering if maybe my fuel pump was going and caused my low #'s and lack of smoke? Thoughts?

Update: P0148 and P0628. Seems to indicate the pump is bad. Did a filter about 10k ago, so that shouldn't be it, but its hard to say. At the ******* now...

And I have an FASS system sitting here for install. .
