Hey guys. Went to a dyno day in Grand Junction on Saturday. The drive up and back to Denver was 550 miles and I averaged 19. 7 mpg with the EGR unplugged. Everything else is stock. This was from my house at 6000' across south Denver to Golden and up to over 10,000' and down to GJ which is about 4300'.

So, the dyno. It was a SuperFlow dyno. Not sure of the correction factor, if any. My EGR unplugged/otherwise stock truck made 300hp and 540 lb/ft torque on stock tires and 3. 73 gears. 6-speed auto.

Forgot my sheet at work but will take a pic and post it if anyone wants to see.

Not sure exactly what your point is - that power increases and decent MPG are still possible?

In any event, my power mods on the '02 have never adversely affected my MPG, as long as I maintained similar driving habits and routes - and that's with or without the 5er in tow. What HAS changed, is the available added power on tap when needed - the best of both worlds! :)

And yeah, when the loud pedal is used frequently and aggressively, there's a price to be paid, at the pump! :-laf

Who said I have a point? Haha. I just wanted a baseline and to see how much power the auto is sucking away from the engine.

The mileage was to show that it's still achievable. A lot of 6. 7 owners are whining about how mileage sucks and how they're not happy.
