after we raced i hoped for close to 400hp by the way i pulled you. of course when you get a clutch and you can use 2&3 on your magic box i won't even know what direction you went. #ad
when are you getting a clutch? before our bombvoy in april. it looks like i will need a clutch and maybe propane to keep up with you.

Man I cant believe the power you guys get with just an EZ,I cant match that with a Comp box,and DD3's,I only got 369/725,but it was thru an unlocked 89% DTT convertor,I was hoping for 400hp. I also have a 4" exhaust, and BHAF. I need lift pump and turbo mods next IMO.

Snowman,

the stock ETH injectors are smaller than the ETC injectors so you get greater gains with injector upgrades on the ETH. On the other hand people have seen lessor gain on the ETH with fueling boxes than on a ETC. The comp will show you a larger increase than me but the injectors make a huge difference on an ETH.

Your numbers do seem low though because nwinters made 324 hp this weekend with just a comp on an otherwise stock 98. 5

Readings?

A bunch of us ran or DCs on a Dyno this weekend and our #s are a lot different than the ones posted here. For example: I have a 5-spd standard with an EZ box and I ran 239 hp at 2781 rpm. A stocker ran 209 hp. My nephew has the same truck but with EZ and 275 injectors and he ran 279 hp. Another BOMBer who has EZ plus 275s and 4" exhaust ran 298 hp. All these readings were at the wheels so add 15% to convert to flywheel. I don't know which is right or wrong but there seems to be a discrepancy?

Maybe some of the guys that ran there trucks on the Dyno in Calgary this weekend can comment.

My boost on the road hits 39 psi peak,it hits 37 easily. On the dyno,in drive with 4. 10's the engine ran up thru the gears so fast the boost never got over 36 or so,it revved up so quick,it was hard to even get a reading. My fuel system needs work,as you can imagine, all it is is stock, with ray's banjo's and a pressure guage. I can get it to -2,which i think is vacuum,on level 5,so i dont use that level much, anything over level 2 and its at zero oe below.

Hey Dave-I'm as new to the dyno game as you... . but I know there's some latitude between the different brands of dynos and I'm sure even between the same brand in different locations. Seems like a lot of runs are made on Dynojets-which to the best of my knowledge uses no brake on the drum-just the weight of the drum itself. By measuring how fast it spools up you can determine horsepower..... at least that's my understanding. Some guys say that you can't load the higher-horsepower trucks enough with a Dynojet to get accurate readings... but again my experience with this subject would fit inside a beer bottle cap. It would have been neat if someone had shown up that had just run on a different dyno to compare #'s for sure... . we also had winter fuel to contend with and the 3500' altitude didn't help any. I'm looking forward to the big summer fest that Scott is cooking up for us now... . and I heard a rumor that PAAL is having something in March?

On a related subject-wanna buy a slightly-used set of 275's in the spring? ;) BOMB bug has bitten me hard-gonna move up to DDIII's I'm thinkin... . If you're interested let me know-I'll sell 'em to ya cheap and even drive up and help you install them-if you supply the garage and the cool ones afterwards... .
