i was one of 2 trucks to dyno today-john made some good numbers but i wont steal his thunder :-laf

here are my numbers

stock-176-360

3x3---219-503

5x5---253-571

i was hoping for more but i sure everyone is-do these seem low or bout right

i have 3 straitpipe-afe stage 1-edge comp

thanks marcel

Looks to me like something ain't right. Your stock numbers should be higher. If memory serves me right a non HO should be about 235hp and an HO should be about 245 and the torque at least up to 460-500. I may be off on some of these but it looks funny to me. I am not sure about the comp numbers.

You are talking about engine rated HP. It is amazing how much HP you lose by the time it actually gets to the ground. Of course there are many other cosiderations like outside temp, humidity, elevation, long bed, short, auto, standard, ect. that have an effect on a dyno run. :D

Didn't think that much would be lost on the stock setting just going through the drive train. Pretty good chunk of power gone.

couldn't make it

Sorry I couldn't make it today but I spewed my headgasket out last night so I had to tear it down today. Those numbers seem alittle low but I never dynoed stock so I have no idea. My truck dynoed at 374hp and 780 lb/ft with an edge comp drag and some 275 rv injectors and magnaflow exhaust. I haven't dynoed since the Mach 4's because I need to figure out how to get the head to stay on. :-laf

BTW, do you have a converter lock up switch? I think that makes a big difference and also dyno it in overdrive.

You are a little low on HP... . Normally a stock 01 ETC truck puts down around 200-210 RWHP. Not all trucks are created equal and some dyno better some worse than others. As mentioned above are you sure the truck's convertor was locked? What gear did you dyno in? What brand and model dyno was used?

Doug

converter was locked and did runs from 45-50 on-truck is an auto with a dunrite tc and vb--4. 10 gears--winter fuel also-all runs in overdrive--dyno was a dynojet --dont know what model but he said it had 7000 pound rollers... i tryed it one run after . . was watching boost and only got up to 30 psi,,i can hit 37 on the street--i know next time i will be payin closer attention to everythging-

Well it looks like you did everything right..... The 4. 10 gears do hurt some on the dyno but you truck still is on the low end of the HP curve.

Doug

I would go with some F1 injectors and a Phat Shaft 62. You should be able to reach 450 RWHP with Mach 2. 5's but personally I think you would be better off running Mach 4's. Normally this would yeild around the 500 RWHP mark, so even if your truck is low on HP it would make 450 easy.
