Well I ran my truck on a Dyno and forgot to ask what kind it was. The sheet says "Dyno Dynamics Dynamometer". He loaded the truck for a few seconds at about 1,100 rpm's and then I rolled into it. It made 961ftlbs at 2588 rpm's and 484hp's at 2744rpm's. My question is, isn't the max torque supposed to be lower in the rpm band? I also think that if I loaded it at a little higher rpm and made some boost and then let it rip I could have done better. My goal was to hit over a 1000 ftlbs. Any idea's?
My next question is would I sacrafise drivability to get more power putting a P-pump in? Would I get more power?
Thanks for the input.
He loaded it at 60mph and the EGT's never went over 1200 degrees durung any of the pulls. I did blow off a wastegate hose and it scared the he!! out of me.
The boost gauge was pegged at 60psi.
