Well help me out here fellers, I don't know Jack about Dyno's other then that the Mustang is supposed to be better because you can load it. I dynoed on a local dyno-jet last Monday and pulled 421 rwhp in valet mode out of valet mode with aux fuel I got 577 rwhp. there were some obvious signs that the truck wasn't even working hard like let me see, only 54psi of boost, 910 ftlbs of torque, and only 950 on egt's. of course I wasn't satisfied so today I took it to a mustang Dyno at Ken Imlers Diesel in Sacto, nothing was done to the truck since last Monday. well any way we got 419rwhp in valet mode and out of valet with the aux fuel we got 629. 9 rwhp. I was much more satisfied with the Mustang dyno results, Ken loaded it I believe to 8,000lbs does this make sense ? what do you load the diesels too ? also I only made 60psi boost on that 629 run what gives ? when I left his place I stabbed it getting on the highway, broiled the 36" x 14. 5 tires through fourth gear and hit 67 psi. Does my 4:10 gears and 36" tires rob alot of the power ? as mentioned I am satisfied with the results but wonder what they would be if I had stock tires and different gears. I prolly won't dyno again anytime soon I was doing this for a feature article in magazine due out in December.
