Competition Custom High Flow In Tank Fuel Pick Up

Competition Rock Falls Race way: WI: May 19th.

hit the dyno to day at ATR in Joliet IL, truck ran good, but kind of dissapointed. it was a dyno jet 248hs. heres my numbers

392hp 749tq, comp off

501hp 882tq, comp 5x5

516hp 957tq, comp 5x4

sig's not correct, i have mach 6 injectors, FASS 150, and any EEP 66mm turbo 70% drive on the exhaust

what do you guys think?

I was there with Mr. Ramicator. Got some good shots of his stacks billowing coal. Freakin' cool. Truck sounds real healthy also.

mine ran a 573hp flatlined the torque at 1200 ;)

i thought it was a little low. there were a few other trucks that i thought were a little low for what the had too.

my truck only have 44-45#'s of boost and the said the smoke pretty much completely cleared up on the big end. on the street it make 50-52#'s and leave a very heavy haze.

i guess im comparing it to guys with mach 4's and make as much if not more HP and tq. , im low

yeah i looked right over it the first time. me bad.

it looked like a storm brewin after 3 runs inside, things got a little cloudy:-laf

ive heard of this before u need a dyno with resistance to keep the turbo lit, i assume u pulled in 5th.

actually i did all pulls in 4th, 1:1. i have heard it you use OD, it can be an advantage for bigger #'s, kinda cheat the dyno. maybe im wrong.

i ask the operator if he could load it and he said no can do.

i figured this setup for 575-600 hp and maybe around 1200 for tq.

OD is the way to go.

The only number that might be "cheated" would be the torque.

But using OD is about the only way to get the motor loaded and the turbo lit well.

Some trucks can be done in Direct. But typically we use OD.

I can't get crap for numbers on my truck in direct. Slams the governor REAL fast. A GSK would really help. On the to do list, but been really busy.

Put down 363/793 at IRP '06.

thanks wes, i guess thats what ill do next time

You #'s are a little low..... Normally a Comp, M6's, and a 66mm turbo will yeild around 600 RWHP. The 392 number is off as well as your top #'s. How old is your VP? I would have expected your #2 only run to be around 450-490 RWHP.

original vp, about 70,000 miles. i think it was running 4th gear instead of 5th that screwed me. like i said earlier it only made 44-45 pounds of boost and smoke cleared up, out on the road it 51-52 pounds and still plenty of haze.

so i think it has quite a bit more than what the dyno showed me

Looks like we gotta have another run on the rollers... . I think I'll need a little something more to bump up the power... :-laf

Tony I

Let me know when you're ready

Tony II ;)

i think if your truck didnt do what it did it would have been over 600. did you ever figure anythin out?

i guess ill through a some laughing gas to it and see it you can match that, i know i have some spare fuel to burn, maybe ill go for 700rwhp, now tony are you up for that!!!!:-laf
