Competition CA sled pulling clamp down???

I am planning to go to Scheid diesel extravaganza in Aug. and need to know if I will need something special to dyno my truck. Some places require us to provide special adapters for our exhaust if we have something unusual(5" stacks). Will I need anything for The Extravaganza?

I believe their dyno will be set up outside. Scheid has asked that I bring mine too and for sure mine will be outside, so there should not be a problem with your stacks.

Maybe someone else though can clarify where they set theirs up for the event.

Schieds Dyno

The dyno was outside last year, , i watched a couple of trucks and saw a 2003 6. 0 f-250 4x4 on the dyno and he ended up with 379 hp and 1050 ft lbs of torque which was pretty cool, no smoke at all and it was straight piped, awesome turbo whistle. Oo.

Another question for you, too, David: If you use the 1500 hp/ft-lb program, why is there a limit on both hp and ft-lbs? Since one is just a calculation of the other, I would think there'd only be a limit on one. ??

Chris,

It is a software limitation. The new software will graph the data to 1500hp and 1500tq. The old stuff was 1200/1200. But as long as you get rpm data and hp readings, I can simply calculate the tq out.

BTW, I like the older software better. It is much more friendly to use.
