Sled Pull???

Hi to all and I hope this comes at a good time.

I got a call from Paul, the manager of PFI in Ft Collins, Co this afternoon. The Ford guys have reserved July 12 for a days worth of dyno runs and they asked Paul to invite us DodgeBoys.

I do not know what they are planning to charge as of now, but it should be reasonable. Paul thinks that he can do over 50 trucks in a day. He has this set up for 10am til 5pm.

I asked what if many more trucks showed up and he said they would figure something out to get more guys in. Paul even suggested that he may like to rent the whole place out for the weekend.

What do you guys thing about $30 per truck and two pulls for the run? I believe they will go for it. If we get enough guys we could bring grills and cook out there and have a great time.

We need to know soon who or how many will show up.

Thanks,

LaserBobOo.

Geeeeeezzzz Richard,

You're just going to hurt their feelings;)

By the way, I have those pictures of you two guys' runs if you want to see them.

Matt

Hi Matt,

Maybe you should get those new injectors a week early:D

Can you post those pics here? If not I'll send you my email.

Regarding the Ferds, there is a big red ferd here in town, rumor has that he dynoed at 552 hp with N02 and propane, I'm sure he will be at PFI. I'll look him up and do some trash talking to make sure of it.

We'll have to see how the next couple of weeks go, pray for hot humid weather and I'll be set.

I am excited to no longer be the guy without gauges right now;)

Matt

I will be on vacation in South Dakota on that day, but may make a special trip back down for the Dyno day. We will have to see what the little woman has in mind.

I was wondering if this would come back after that construction deal that happened last time. Glad it did. I would really like to make it but not sure if I will be in town that day. If I am I will be there.

Latest news

I talked to the PSD group lady that is organizing this event on Sunday evening. She was very nice and glad to hear that we will be coming. This is her first event of their group and so let's show them courtesy and POWER:p

The $30 for two runs was OK with her and the proceeds for the event will be donated to a charity (they are a not for profit club) I thought that sounded good.

Let us know who's going

Hey Bob, count me in. We have had a change of plans and will be back in the Co. area so I can attend. Let me know if you need something.

Hey Bob, if this place has never dynoed high HP diesel trucks before you might have them setup a some kind of venting system to get out all that exhast smoke. From the dyno runs we did at Silver State in LV they tried to use AC ducting and the high HP guys would blow it to pieces. FWIW

Smoke

They have dyno'ed 3 high HP Dodge's that I know of. They know how much smoke to expect. I'm sure the black spot that was left on their floor is still there:-laf LaserBob's truck can really lay down the smoke:D

Directions

Here are some directions to get to the place

these are direct from their website, so they should be good.

Theri site is www.pfispeed.com

Directions to PFI, coming up from Denver on I-25:

North to exit 262, Windsor.

Turn left, then go west for 5 miles.

Turn right onto U. S. 287, go north approx 1 mile.

Turn right onto Smokey. One block later, turn left onto Bueno Dr.

We are a few hundred feet down on the right side, 5720 S. Bueno Dr.

Wagons North

Anyone around Golden or Arvada want to drive up together. Pulling into the yard with a bunch of trucks all at once would sure be impressive.

I will make time for this. Count me in!

Who wants to set up the Denver contingent meeting place?

Latest news from the PSD Group

I copied this from the organizer's latest post:

Okay... .

I think we are looking at a cost of right around $25 per run. If you would like to contribute $30 per run, any extra money we have will be donated to a local charity (of the whole club's choice) in the name of the club. We just have to make sure we hit the $800 cost for the whole day.

So, what I need is to hear from our club members. Please email or PM me to reserve your spot ASAP. I will ask you to go ahead and send a check, made out to PFI, to reserve your spot. Also, please let me know what time of the day you can be there and/or what time you need to leave. The more organized we are, the more trucks we can run.

As you can see above, the Cummins guys will be hanging out with us that day (hopefully this will lead to future events together), so I want to see as many Power Stroke members reserve their spots now!

This is her e-mail address; -- email address removed --

I hope this all works well.
