dyno's in MN

Sled Pull???

The doors are 10ft wide and 12 or 14 high so all will fit through the doors. The rollers will catch the inside tires of a dually and run fine. I saw them do this at Muncie with tires hanging over and saw no problems.

They have a drive through shop, if they clean up like they said they would, and then we can have a line circleing around and onto the rollers.

You asked if you should send the money, You will have to ask her. It is her event and she is trying to organize it. It will be good for those who do not want to hang around all day to have an appointment, but I plan to see everybody run. I look at this as an allday event.

I think everybody should pack a lunch and bring your $ and you HP. Then let the numbers do the bragging. :D :D

I wrote her and here is the respoonse:

Sticks,

Thanks for the email. Glad to hear that you are interested in attending dyno day.

You can send your check to me:

Shay Black

6595 Lakota Ct

Loveland, CO 80537

You can make it out to me, as I will be making a payment to PFI this week.

Please let me know approximately what time you would like to make your runs. I am trying to schedule everyone with appointments. This being our club's first dyno day, I am sure it won't be exact, but I think organizing as much as I can beforehand will help. Right now I have time pretty much anywhere from 10:50 to 4:50 on July 12th.

Also here is the link to our website:

http://coloradopsdclub. allturbopower.com/index.shtml

I appreciate you passing on information about our club. It is great to see it growing so fast and I hope we can do more events in the future with your Dodge group.

Shay Black

Colorado Power Stroke Club founder

EDIT - She gets up early. Here is another response.

Thanks!

I will put you down in the 10:50 slot for 2 runs. I am asking everyone to be there approximately 30 minutes before their scheduled time just in case. This being our first dyno day event, I am sure the schedule won't follow along perfectly, but I feel that the more organized we are the better the day will run.

I will let you know when I get your check and will forward it onto PFI.

Shay

To which I responded, "Hell, we're planning on being there all day. I just hope they have enough parking for us all. "

Hey guys, I sent Shay an e-mail this morning and she could use some help PUMPING this Dyno day up. If we could at least shoot her an email indicating if you are coming or not. I know that myself and sticks have sent her money to reserve a spot. I know that she has a good sized commitment to PFI in order to make the Dyno day happen. Let's show the Ferd lady and folks what we are all about.

Mike

Sent an email to her on Sunday and sent out the check this morning for my attendance. This sounds like it will be a pretty fun event!!! Oo. Oo.

Charity Picked for Proceeds

I spoke with Shay on the phone today. The latest news is that their club has picked a local charity; Foster & Adoptive Families of Larimer County, to donate the proceeds of this event when it is over. I think that is a nice gesture. (Maybe this is a deductible donation, ask your tax man)

Shay also said that the registrations are about even between us Cummins types and her PSD troupe. I think we should overwhelm them with Dodges, so call your buddies and lets play nice and Whip them:p

They think that they can make HP, but we all know what really walks the walk, and you know... ... ... .

Keep her posted if you are going.

Anybody know of a place north of I-76 on I-25 to meet? I am all for a group of trucks from Denver showing up at the same time.

Place to Meet

Could meet at Jonhson's Truck Stop just north of the Berthoud and south of the Loveland exits - about exit 254. Great cinnamon rolls. Only about 20 minutes from the dyno location.

Sticks,

I gotta go to Canada for work. I've been trying to get out of I so I could join the guys but no such luck. I feel kind bad for suggesting we get as many of us together before the drive to WYO and not be able show up. Work is such a pain in the A_ _.

Call in sick! Oops, had engine trouble on the way up, had to fix it.

EDIT - Just received a email from Shay

Don't forget that the Colorado Power Stroke Club Dyno Day Charity Event is coming up this Saturday, July 12th, from 10am to 5pm at PFI, 5720 S. Bueno, Ft. Collins!

We will be hooking up our trucks to the dyno and comparing results with the Dodge boys, so be ready! So far, we have 13 Ford trucks signed up to dyno and 4 Dodge trucks. I am sure that many more will show up that day ready to dyno as well!

Even if you don't want to dyno your truck, please do come out and participate in our show-n-shine and prize drawing give away! We will have some great items to give away from International Engines and hopefully some other local businesses. If you can visit a business in your area that might give a donation to this drawing, please do so! We would like to raise all the money we can for The Foster and Adoptive Families Association of Larimer County. Be sure and mention this charity when you talk to businesses. And if you would like fliers to take in with you, let me know and I will email you one. Mike Troast with Amsoil will be joining us again and hopefully some of our other business club members with their shop "goodies" to try out!

This event is getting some national publicity and the pictures that we take, as well as an article we write up, will be included on the Power Stroke Diesel Stuff's Crew website!

Larry S. , our club member and local rocket scientist, will be bringing a calibration device to calibrate your pyrometer!

To keep up with the latest information, just visit the club website!

See you all there!

Shay

More motivation?!?!

C'mon guys!! lets get a big showing there! I just got an email from Shay, who is putting this whole thing on. The turnout looks to be really good especially from the Ford side  The local papers and radio will be promoting this on the air from the sounds of things. Shay contacted all the news stations and there could be a Denver TV station there possibly. So far there is a $250 donation that will be made, lets overwhelm them Powerstroke folks and come in like herds!!! If the local stations are there this our chance to make the public see us "stinky, loud diesels" are good for something both in the HP we make but also in the total of donations and the cause. Lets make it happen!!

I just finished adjusting my valves (all 12 of them) and replaced a leaking fuel heater. With any luck I'll pickup a couple more pony's. See you guys there on Saturday:D :D :D

Have you SMOKED a Ford lately:-laf

Sounds good to me. I have the 10:50 slot, but I would rather be there for the beginning (10:00), so meet at 8:45 and leave for PFI by 9:30?

I have no idea how long it will take to get there, so someone please adjust the time if I am off.

I'll be there to look at all the HP you guys are putting out and to meet you guys. I had a friend from Greeley who was one of the three CTD's that has run on their dyno and he got some really weird numbers. He thinks they didn't strap it down right. The #'s he got aren't even close to where they should be. He is coming also to see if they did something wrong with his runs. Looking forward to meeting all of you.

Kris

What a fun day!! Good to see everyone there. Special thanks go out to Bob Berends for all his efforts for today along with Shay from the PSD side. Thanks Bob!!

Jeff

GLOATING TIME!!!

Definitely more Dodges than Fords, and we were blatantly the big HP (and torque after they got that end of it fixed) winners.

High for the Fords (without spiking it) was in the upper 300's with torque in the 600's - which was the average HP for our CTD's, and those torques were in the upper 700's

We had a couple of mid 500 hp and 1100+ torque CTD's (Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. ) and lots of good thick smoke by most of us. Only a few of the Fords blew any, then it was more like my ETH/DEE with the Edge.

I had a great time, and thanks to all for showing up, and a special thanks to Shay from the PSD's for setting it up and inviting us.
