Thanks, TDR Staff

dyno's in MN

Sled Pull???

How Many from Castle Rock?

How many who were at Castle Rock in April were there? I'm still interested in hearing some comparative numbers for the same trucks between Castle Rock and anywhere else (I haven't had a chance to dyno antwhere else yet, either). Still hoping for some validation of the Castle Rock numbers.

BTW, I'll be back out to Leadville the first week of August for All-4-Fun.

Thanks to those who made it!

Thanks for coming to the PSD Dyno day and making a good show. We had a great group of trucks and owners there. I think everyone had some fun and got to meet new and old friends. Once the dyno bugs were worked out we were able to run the trucks thru rather quickly.

I did not meet nearly enough of you with time to visit but, I am very glad you made the day a great success for their group.

I am starting to look to the future to put on another dyno day labeled RMTDR (Like we tried to have a while back). We learned a few things from this one so the next we hope will run smoother.

We will invite the Ford guys and gals, of course. :D

I will post the results sheet when I get it if someone hasn't already gotten it up. I think we ran between 40 and 50 actual trucks (counting the number of times we tied one down) across the rollers, with many of them having multiple runs on the dyno.

Again THANKS TO ALL WHO CAME & PLAYED!

LaserBob

PS Special thanks to R. ebel and Jeff Sewald for pitching in both their bodies and clothes (got dirty) to help the hook and unhook of all the trucks. Great work Men!

And last but not least, Thanks to PFI in Ft Collins. Lance, who owns the Dynojet, Paul, the manager of the shop, and the 4 or 5 others from PFI who all put in a lot of sweat to make this day run so well.

It was a great time and event. Thanks go out to Shay, Bob, PFI and all the assistants involved in making this happen. I believe everyone was impressed with the turnout and outcome. Looking forward to the next event.

mgonske, I ran my truck on both dynos and the one in Ft Collins I was about 60hp more on the Dyno jet machine. I believe the stock 03 I saw on the dyno was 280hp. It was an HO 48re.

Mike

actually the 03 did 269hp & a most impressive 543Lb feet not bad for motor rated at 305 & 555 and an auto to boot. the stock 6. 0psd made only 440 lb. feet :{

Thanks Mike & Robert! Seemed like my HP numbers in Castle Rock might have been kind of low, but torque kind of high. Mike, how did your torque compare between the two?

Mark, I don't know as they were not getting torque numbers at the time they dynoed my truck. It was their first time doing this and it took them a while to figure out how to do these trucks. As more trucks ran they got the torque portion strightened out and later runs were getting them.

Was that a legitimate run, or a spiked run, which I noticed that most of the ego owners did to get the high numbers.

Either a clutch dump, or the TC letting go. The dyno graph looks like a heart monitor. When there is shifting going on, drive line gets a sudden surge and "spikes" the graph at a much higher than normal. Best example that I saw was a 6. 0 that did a nice smooth run and hit 340 something HP, then the second "spiked" run was in the mid 400's. It's like when you pick up something too heavy. If you try to lift it slow, you only get it so far, then you can go no more. But if you jerk it, you probably will get it up... keep your mind on the subject.

Over 100hp difference between the two runs... No way. They said he switched programs between the first and second run, but his TC either let go, or he unlocked it. Either way, most of them decided that the second spiked run was the one to go with.

No CTD's that I know of had any spikes. Not real thrilled that they ran the ETH/DEE's inconsistently (some in fifth, others in sixth), but still a great time. Looking forward to the net time, and hopefully ALL of us will get torque #'s:mad:

That 6. 0 PSD did 488 his second run, it was spiked. That owner was feeling pretty good about himself after that one, he thought it was legit. That 5 speed Auto kept wanting to downshift, this is where he got his spikes.

the 03 dodge run was good no downshift . The truck has Emjay trans controller so converter clutch can't let go less the magic smoke goes with it:D

good to have met you sticks.

Proof is in the #

Sounds like someone was keeping tabs on the Dyno numbers, has anyone posted the results? Who had the most HP and Torque?

Garrett

Thanks Rebel

Holly _ _ _ _, Batman,

You boys that showed up, you guys did some stompin'. So how far between the legs was the tale when the Furd boys left town.

I was also noticed the 2 Furd 6. 0 ls were totally different but equip the same what was with that?

12 VALVE = 500 + HP would have never even guessed that one either. Damn, Dynamite does come in small packages.

Twin Brothers. The lower performance of the two 6. 0s claimed to be having a malfunctioning chip.
