Does anyone's E-Brake work well enough to stop your truck from rolling in Neutral? Mine is not seized anywhere but it sure sucks arse. Should I pry the drums off and adjust it or is this even possible?

I have found that I get the best performance for my brakes when I adjust the back ones as tight as they can be without rubbing all the time. If I don't have them adjusted tight, it takes a lot of pedal travel to stop the truck. A tight rear brakes makes for a beter e-brake hold. Mark

Most of the trucks I have seen in the shop with this complaint have had the pivot for the parking brake levers(inside drum) froze up. After you remove the drum and shoes there is a nut on the back side of the backing plate above the wheel cylinder (7/16" I believe), remove this and the pivot assembly shuold come off of backing plate. Hammer the pieces apart, wire wheel them and reassemble with antisieze. As Mark said, adjust the brakes on the tight side. Should cure them for a couple of years unless your always in the mud, then this seems to be a yearly maintenance item.
Hope this helps.
