I just got my pyro and boost gauges today and plan to install them this week. My question is,how high can the egt's get before you are going to damage the turbo? Is 300 degree's the accepted temp. for shut down? Thanks

Thanks Evan. Would that be prolonged running at 1300 or would the occassional short burst above that[say to beat that pesky F**D over the hill] do damage?

Mag. . when you see aluminum dripping out your exhust you have gone to far #ad
#ad
#ad

and the shut down # needs to be 300° or less remember that your oil will not cool as fast as the gauge showes the exhust temps. your turbo will cook the oil and coke up the oil.

If you saw a max of 1350 degrees during a run I wouldnt panic, but you dont want to see much higher than that number sustained. (this is pre-turbo)
