I recently had a BD exhaust brake installed at Oregon Fuel Injection and had them install the E-Knob from Geno's Garage to activate the E-brake. The knob rattles internally and gets pretty annoying at certain RPMs when cruising :( I like the feel of the E-knob and the convenience of the on/off button, but the rattle is enough to to lead me to search for a solution or switch (pun intended :-laf )to the Pac-Brake design. Anyone have a similar experience or a solution?

T-Handle Shifter

Thanks for the info Moose. I'll check into this option if I cannot resolve the E-Knob rattling. I like the thumb button on the side of the Hurst T-Handle shifter. I'm trying to get in touch with Fred Danner, a fellow TDR member, who manufactures the E-Knob for Genos to see if he has any ideas. It sounds like it is unusual for the E-Knob to rattle. Most are very happy with it and it has a stock appearance. Maybe someone will chime in with Hurst T-Handle experience or contact info for Fred Danner???

I got a rattle with mine but it didn't seem to be the button. It seemed more like the noise was telegraphing up the shift lever & the nob just amplified it. Holing the button wouldn't stop the noise but pushing down on the whole nob slightly would.

Mine rattles also, drives me nuts!! If I rest my thumb on it, it quiets down. I like the switch though, I just turn up the stereo louder, no problem!! :D

When I installed mine, I had the rattle to, mine was a marine sealed unit. I got tired of the rattle, stiped of the seal and disassembled the switch. Found where the loose parts were that was causing the noise and done a little torquing of the inereds to make it tighter. Walaaaa it worked , no more noise. If its 100% plastic body and can not be taken apart, do as Supermod56 does Turn up the radio.
