Knuckleheads in the NEWS

Dateline 2/26/21 a sleepy little town in S.C. an attempt was made to rob and blow up a local bank FROM THE DRIVE THRU!

Much like your local bank is doing walk in banking is severely restricted or just plain closed. That didn't stop an enterprising man from seeking free money, he went thru the DRIVE THRU in a TAXI and placed his demand note in the pneumatic tube.

I can't make this up folks, here's the text.

"HARTSVILLE, S.C. (WPDE) — Police arrested Angel Luis Masdev and charged him with attempted bank robbery Thursday after he sent a note to a bank teller demanding money via the drive-thru at South State Bank in Hartsville, according to Lt. Mark Blair with Hartsville police.

Reports claim emergency dispatch was advised of a blue taxicab in the bank drive thru with the occupants threatening to kill and blow up the bank.

The officer said they arrived and located the taxicab in the middle drive thru lane. As the officer approached the vehicle, they observed two occupants inside.

The officer said it appeared the passenger, Masdev, was frantically trying to hide something or seemed to be reaching for a weapon."

But the good news is right across the parking lot a new Harbor Freight is going in!
