I met Red many years ago. I had to attend some meetings in Red Wood City and I brought my wife down with me.
I decided to blow some morning meetings off to have breakfast with my wife in the hotel. We were the only ones in the hotel cafe except............Red. My wife saw him first and started to mist up because she was so happy he was still alive. She wanted to go over and meet him, but I told her we shouldnt bother him. Well, she wanted to get a picture anyway, so I went up to the room to get the camera. When I got back I found my wife sitting in the booth with Red.

He was a very nice and gracious man with a big smile. He was doing a show locally and we got a free personal showing of that. It was just great. We spent probably an hour with him. Later on I saw a bunch of the guys from the meeting talking to Red. I walked over there and one of my buddies introduced me to Red. I told him that I had breakfast with Red just an hour or 2 before. With that, Red says "yeh, we're old buddies" He talked to us there for over an hour. What a great guy.
