Eagle wheel users... What did you use for center caps.

Most wheel companies want me to go with generic centers with chrome lug nuts.

Well I would rather find a cover that fits over these wheels or a center cap thats stainless or aluminum.

I've lived in New England WAY too long to be told by someone selling me wheels that they will work and last in salty conditions.

 Been There Done That

Any help would be appreciated

Mactruck,

Do you already have Eagle wheels on your truck or are you getting ready to buy some?

If you are buying, look at www.wheelsforless.com. I found chrome plated alum wheels there for less than the polished aluminum of same design from other vendors. They come with EAGLE center caps, not the generic ones I got from 4 Wheel Parts.

I had 1439s ( I think thats what # they were) on mine for a while. Nicely polished when new but NEVER the same afterwards. They got black spots on 'em anywhere tire cleaner touched them. I finally made cardboard center covers to prevent that from happening anymore.

I am back to chrome OEMs w/ a 266/85 tire on them. If I ever replace these wheels again I'll look at chromed Eagles.

Weld wheels make a nice stainless center cap that will fit nicely into most all wheels. I used them on my Enkei's when they came with plastic coated ones... ... . Andy

P. S. -The Weld centers I have have now been on 3 trucks. They probably have about 300,000 miles on them along with the McGuard lugs. Scratched some, but rust NO.
