I just picked a Early 98 12 Valve Auto.

What would it take to up the horse & torque a little.

to help towing some.

What was the stock horse & Torque of the 98 12 valve Auto trans

Make sure you get the KDP fixed on that, the 98 12 valve is about the worse with those. That is the very first thing. A 10 plate and 3k GSK make those run very nice. you can run an 11 plate also.

Wise choice on trucks! :D Ditto on the gauges, then bomb like he... once you start you won't stop. Its nece seening the faces of newer Chevies and Fords sucking your black smoke. .

Congrats and nice choice! See my signature for BOMB's. I really like my set-up. I tow a 10k 5vr, but it also makes a great ricer killer and smoke shows:D

I'll second that comment after mine had 2 break in less than 50,000 miles.

Congratulations on your truck,a 98 12 valver is a hard truck to find and sought out by many here. Gauges first(egt & Boost)and then you may proceed. Remember this though,as you move along the B. O. M. Bing path you WILL need to upgrade the transmission which will be your weakest link. If this was my truck, and being its a slush-box,the transmission upgrade would supersede any other mods. Think of it this way and I know some will disagree with this. .

KDP first. I mean, you want to have a motor left to play with, right? Then the gauges second. My $. 02 .

Happy Motoring :)
