Because these are a bunch of spoiled upper middle class people who feel guilty that they live in a prosperous land and so they think they have to have a "cause" to justify their existance. We just had a whole boatload of idiots from Greenpeace here last week. They are protesting the polyvinylcloride(PVC) plants and the oil refineries. Great, they have something to keep their idle hands occupied.
BUT, they show up in a 80 foot boat(powered by DIESEL engines) with a couple of inflatable(PVC plactic) boats, powered by outboard(oil and gasoline mixed) motors. They used the little inflatable(PVC plastic) boats to set out a big floating(PVC plastic) sign to protest the plants.

The companies they are protesting are the exact same companies they are supporting by using these products. Make sense to you??

These HYPOCRITES need to practice what they preach. That's like some dude wearing a leather jacket telling me not to eat meat because they kill cows for beef.
If your going to support a cause, support it 100% not halfway.

Also reminds me of the post that was going around the TDR about treehuggers putting bumper stickers on our vehicles, I believe the sticker was along the lines of " I'm contributing to global warming, ask me how" or something like that. I wish one of them would pull up to my passenger side, with their window down and at the bottom of a STEEP hill. I think I could answer their question with a 4th gear start #ad
In the mean time, my "GOT DIESEL" decal kinda sums it up.

These freaks operate in "cells" and communicate through a variety of ways that makes them next to impossible to track. They typically deal only with people they "know". Pretty hard to find a IV drug using scumbag stinky a-- FBI agent to fit in with them.

In Oregon, where most of them seem to reside (under rocks and in caves), arson is a "shoot em on sight" crime. Its a matter of time until some timber company or research center's security guys catch them in the act and light em up. Preferably in Eastern Oregon where men is men and commie left wing terrorists are nervous..... and cowboys, ranchers, timber dudes, and their wives MAKE UP THE JURY POOL.

An excellent book to read about Earth First is the Monkey Wrench Gang by Edward Abby.
It isn't a Earth First book, but is very entertaining as are all of his books.
