Earth Roamer in John Day/Canyon City...

I know this group lost interest when the Earth Roamer traded in his Dodge for a Ford, but returning from a grocery buying trip, saw this unusual camper setup approaching from the opposite direction (he was headed north on 395 thru Canyon City) - I looked in the rear view mirror, and sure enough "Earth Roamer" plastered across the rear end of the camper. Would have been neat to spend a few minutes talking with the guy and checking out his setup...

If I where made of money, I'd get one of those and have a real engine put in it (Cummins of course). Maybe with the new chassis cabs, Bill will start to offer a Dodge option.

Yeah, I would love to have one of those myself. It would have to be Cummins powered though. I just don't trust the powerplant Ford offers.

I also saw one two weeks ago. I was in Canyonlands National Park. Saw it in the campground. Looked nice.

earth roamer

I met bill when he was on his Alaska journey, as a mere engineer on the ferry that he was aboard for his journey. he did not have time to talk with me. since then I have been lucky to have been inside 2 earth roamers that have been aboard my ships in alaska, the owners are very gracious and more than willing to chat and let you look at their beautiful Camping machines inside and out. I recently saw a earthroamer for sale on e bay buy it tnow price was 250. 000
I was looking at his earthroamer website last night and he has a lot of great info on the dodge he built up.

Do all those Earth Roamer campers have the name across the back in LARGE letters? Dunno if I was looking at an "ordinary" Rver, or the real thing...



I didn't get a good look at the truck or driver - was too busy checking out the camper...
