I made it home safe and sound... . after stopping 4 times between Danbury, CT and Gardner, MA..... man, was I tired! Then I slept from 6:30AM to 2:30... ... to heck with work!!

Matt the younger & I made great time getting back. There's something very pleasing about filling up in Ohio ('mid-nowhere' by the lady behind the fuel desk's reckoning) and getting to Connecticut on one tank!



We picked up a broadcast for strippers, free showers, and free coffee when we hit Pennsylvania, but kept on going. You know how I hate turning down free coffee.



HeyBoss, I used the stock prop, but I'll be looking for an upgrade. Trouble is, you have to sharpen a racing prop all the time. I got a new clutch instead--Scott is pretty happy with that.



Man, what a blast! You guys really missed out!

I could have easily made it to work on time... . I walked in the door and Mom took one look at me and said that Avid could wait until today to see me... .



This past weekend's experience was unbelieveable..... I hope someone out there was shootin' some video.



More on the CB channel 19 broadcast:

Matt the elder, it was Awesome... ... Doug (JetPilot) got paired up with the the Drag truck from Southern Truck Parts... . So he figures he's out of it..... There waiting at the stagging area STP in a stripped drag truck with a helmet, and fire suit. Doug sitting in leather seats with the AC on listing to the CD player... ... . The STP truck smoked Doug out of the hole, only to have Doug run him down to beat him... ... It was very cool... .

Between Jeff and the diesel smoke, we sure killed a lot of mosquitos. Muncie must be grateful for that. I figure when Jeff passes on, they'll give him an enema and bury him in a shoebox.

Pretty sure that run was a 12. 4? by Doug and hmmm I think (sorry if wrong) a 12. 5? by the STP Truck. Wow Matt good point as hot as it was I don't remember swatting one Mosquito, day or Night.....



As Scott said (right after Jeff Picked up the front of a truck) Everyone needs a Jeff.....

Ok Figured I needed to expand on Jeff Picking up the truck.



The Truck that broke the transmission at the track, was using two tires as Jack Stands. The trucks front tires were on the two tires (one on each side). Well After Bill, Scott, and maybe 5 other people were done installing the fixed transmission instead of jacking the truck up to pull out the tires... . He did what I am sure most would do (especially after a long HOT day of working under the truck) he attempted to back off the tires... ... . Well, he almost made before the tires (ones being used as stands) flipped up and stuffed the bumper, and wedged between the tires and the bumper. Someone yells out get the Jack..... Jeff says Hold on I'll get it..... Rahhhhhh ok back up... ... "Everyone Needs a Jeff" Jeff aka The Human Jack, had a tool for everyone no matter what they needed... .
