Towing toys to the sand dunes.

Picked up some retaining wall blocks for a friend today. On the way back I fueld up at a truck-stop with a CAT scale and thought, what the heck, I'll just weigh this baby. Scaled out at 11,400#. My max GVWR is 9900#. I don't think I hurt anything. I have airbags for when I pull my boat to keep everything level so it didn't look bad enough to give me a clue. but I had no idea I was so heavy. Have to pay more attention in the future. My last turck was a dulie; however, I got so sick of those fenders sticking out I got a SRW this time. Time to start calculating load weights when just messing around or change my signature to "Stupid".

I don't have the CAT scale slip with me now but I think it was about 600# over the rear axle weight if I remember correctly.

I've set mine on the bump stops a couple times. I figure it takes about 4000 lbs to do that. Way too much weight. I've eliminated the soft spring problem now and I aint looking back :D

I used to carry a little over 3500#s on my old 76 Ford 3/4 Ton I would place the concrete sacks between the whl wells and the cab plus my dog handled it well But I knew I had a load. So I would imagine 4000 shouldn't be that bad in a 3500 SRW

I put 4000 of sand (100 bags at 40 lbs each) in mine. Not how I would prefer it, but you couldn't really see much difference in ride height between 3000 and 4000. The truck still sat pretty much level.

WAY too much weight, but it handled it perfectly.
